Day 60, Sunday, March 1, 2015

We got about 4 or 5 inches of snow overnight.  Again, I must say I am so tired of the cold and snow.  The snowplow has been down our street about 5 times so far.  We have a different street configuration.  Jefferson street which runs parallel to our street also curves at the top of the hill and runs into our street.  Makes them turn on our street more than once.

Day 59, Saturday, February 28, 2015

Coco and Jim have a date every night about 8-8:30.  Coco will come to Jim's chair and stare at him.  Then he goes and lays down by the steps.  Each time he comes to Jim's chair, he gets more agressive, pushing and then eventually barking at Jim.  Jim takes him outside and gives Coco a treat.  Every. Night. Without. Fail.

Day 58, Friday, February 27, 2015

Monday is Read Across Amercia day.  Cindy and I worked really hard this afternoon to complete our door decoration for the contest.  We are doing a Cat in the Hat theme.

Day 57, Thursday, February 26, 2015

I track my sleep every night.  (sometimes I forget to turn off the tracker until I have been up for a little while!)  This was a fairly restful night for me.  The dark blue is asleep, the light blue is restless and the pink is awake.

Day 56, Wednesday, February 25, 2015

This is my Coco.  Who always has to have something to chew on.  If he doesn't have something to chew on, he is looking for something to chew on!

Day 55, Tuesday, February 24, 2015

I finished organizing my "embellishments" and put them in this old sewing drawer.  I made dividers and labeled them.  Hopefully, this will inspire me to use them more and keep them organized. (It is full!)

Day 54, Monday, February 23, 2015

These are eagles that have been on the river by Rachel's house.  I love watching them.  They don't look very big from here, but when they fly they are huge!

Day 53, Sunday, February 22, 2015

Rachel and Mike have spent the week in South Carolina.  This is one my favorite pictures that she shared during their visit this week.  Happy she had a great trip!  Can't wait to go to the beach again, myself.  It is so calm and relaxing!

Day 52, Saturday, February 21, 2015

Cindy and I made a trip to The Paper Forest.  We both had gift cards and coupons and couldn't wait to get some new supplies!  We enjoyed our shopping and ate lunch at Denhart's on the square in Washington.  Love spending time with my BFF!

Day 51, Friday, February 20, 2015

This was so much fun.  My favorite things to use since I started Inspiration Wednesday, all in one week.  We used old text paper, modeling paste with a stencil and glazing fluid.  Loved every minute of this one...well except waiting for the paste and paint to dry between layers!

Day 50, Thursday, February 19, 2015

Happy Birthday, Stacie!  She is 35 years old today.  I can still remember the day she was born.  I was so happy to have a healthy baby.  She has grown into a fine young lady and I can't imagine what my life would be like without her!  Love you always, babygirl!

Day 49, Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Jim and I went to the Bradley Basketball game.  We attended a reception before the game hosted by PNC Bank.  This is Kaboom, who is their mascot.  He is a gargoyle.

Day 48, Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Jim brought me roses on Valentine's Day.  They are opening up and look and smell awesome!

Day 47, Monday, February 16, 2015

I DID NOT TAKE THIS PHOTO!  My friend Laurie Yuenger, who is an excellent photographer, took this photo with a macro lens on her camera.  It is a snowflake that fell on a blue fleece scarf.  I hope to one day be able to take a photo like this!

Day 46, Sunday, February 15, 2015

My desk is covered in little pieces of embellishments that I use for cards, Project Life and scrapbooking.  I can't find anything and don't use these neat embellishments.  I organized them today and hope to use them more often.

Day 45, Saturday, February 14, 2015

Jim and I celebrated Valentine's Day by going to The Waterhouse for dinner and Dueling Painos.  The food was good and the paino players were awesome.  One was from Chicago and the other from Kentucky.  You can request a song for them to play and of course, the bigger the tip, the faster they got to your request!

Day 44, Friday, February 13, 2015

We had our Valentine's Day party at school this afternoon.  The Pre-K students had a photo booth and Cindy and I got our picture taken!

Day 43, Thursday, February 12, 2015

Mrs. Goeken asked us to complete a sqaure for her classroom quilt.  Of course, mine had to have Zendoodle on it and purple! :)

Day 42, Wednesday, February 11, 2015

Yesterday was "have lunch with someone you love" day at Jordan's school.  Aly had lunch with Jordan.  Love this picture of the two of them!

Day 41, Tuesday, February 10, 2015

I woke up at 4 a.m., this morning so dizzy I couldn't sit up or walk.  I took some Dramamine and went back to bed.

Day 40, Monday, February 9, 2015

I bought some new Sharpie highlighters for school.  I had a coupon, they were on sale and I had a $5 gift card for Target.  They were almost free!

Day 39, Sunday, February 8, 2015

We enjoy eating pork at our house.  Today, Jim remade his "famous" rib rub to use on pork chops, pork roast and of course, ribs.  There are quite a few spices in this one, but it isn't real hot!

Day 38, Saturday, February 7, 2015

This is my "smoosh" journal as Donna calls it.  I have a second art journal that I "smoosh" my paint palette in after I am done with the current weeks project.  This journal is larger and it has 3 weeks worth of paint, etc., left on the pages.  I loved working with the class this week and completed these two pages using the same techniques I learned on this weeks lesson.

Day 37, Friday, February 6, 2015

Two of the current Rivermen hockey players came to school to talk to our students about positive behavior.  I think this was the first time these two were talking and answering questions from elementary students.  One of our students asked what their favorite part of their job was playing hockey and the response was "My favorite part of hockey is when I hit someone!"  Probably not the best answer when you are trying to teach young children about POSITIVE behavior.  He later apologized to the principal about this!

Day 36, Thursday, February 5, 2015

Oh man, this was so much fun.  I wasn't sure about using so much black, but it turned out ok.  I love the texture and want to work with the modeling paste again.

Day 35, Wednesday, February 4, 2015

I got my supplies ready for Inspiration Wednesday.  I bought a new paint brush and dug out some of my favorite stencils.  I don't know what Donna will be making today, but I am so ready to create something tonight!

Day 34, Tuesday, February 3, 2015

We celebrated our 100th day of school.  Mrs. Dietrich gave out pencils to all of our students.

Day 33, Monday, February 2, 2015

Boy if I saw that silly groundhog today, I would punch him in the face!  He saw his shadow this morning so that means we will be having 6 more weeks of winter!

Day 32, Sunday, February 1, 2015

Today is the first day of February.  I love my "Happiness Is..." ornament holder.  Stacie and John gave me every month for birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day gifts.  I love changing them and have the holder on my desk at work.

Day 31, Saturday, January 31, 2015

Nikki and I rode together to Farmington School for a scrapbook crop.  This is two weekends in a row for me.  I don't usually do back to back crops.  However, my friends were going and I wanted to spend some time with them.  Had an awesome day with Nikki, Lisa and Kellee!

Day 30, Friday, January 30, 2015

My boss is always finding little things for us for the holidays.  Today, this awesome light up pen showed up on my desk!

Day 29, Thursday, January 29, 2015

Jim and I are wearing our "I Hate Cancer" shirts to support John.  It has been 3 months since he had the stem cell transplant.  He is doing well and we are praying his journey is over with cancer cells.

Day 28, Wednesday, January 28, 2015

I was so excited to watch the Inspiration Wednesday video today!  This week was a collage project.  I love the look of collage, but it seems very difficult for me.  There is a fine line between art and a mess.  I feel like I crossed the line a little.  Oh well, this is why I am taking the class.  To learn.

Day 27, Tuesday, January 27, 2015

I saw this quote on Pinterest the other day.  This is very fitting for me.

Day 26, Monday, January 26, 2015

I really am tired of the winter weather.  I went to Parkside to walk indoors on the treadmill.  I stopped at the lagoon to snap a picture.  It is so pretty with the snow on the water of the lagoon.

Day 25, Sunday, January 25, 2015

Our Chirpin' Chicks card swap is coming up soon.  We are doing birthday cards for this month.  I asked the girls to do masculine cards, as they are the most difficult ones to get ideas for.

Day 24, Saturday, January 24, 2015

Cindy and I went to a scrapbook crop at Ravina on the Lakes.  We went to this crop last year and had a great time.  We met some new friends and had great food.  It was cold, but didn't snow like it did last year.  We made a page kit and we worked on our December Daily.  It was awesome to be able to spread out all the pages and pictures.

Day 23, Friday, January 23, 2015

I have been adding color to my Zentangle projects.  This is really a Zen doodle.  I have been drawing on different patterned scrapbook paper that I glued in my current journal.

Day 22, Thursday, January 22, 2015

The movie theater donated popcorn for our PBIS celebration for tomorrow.  The students get to chose from several different movies.  They get popcorn as a snack!

Day 21, Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Coco went to the groomer today.  He is such a good boy for Brenda.  All the girls at the boarding kennel just love our little guy!

Day 20, Tuesday, January 20, 2015

I booked our flight for the Grand Canyon.  Jim has wanted to go there since 1995 when we went to the Bahama's as a family.  He said flying over it 6 times wasn't good enough.  So we are going to fly to Vegas and drive to the South Rim, on Sunday, April 5!

Day 19, Monday, January 19, 2015

I finished my first page for the Inspiration Wednesday journal for Donna Downey's class.  She has done an inspiration art journal for many years.  I bought the class to follow along this year.  I had so much fun painting in my handmade journal.
