Jim and I went to Avanti's for lunch today. Mr. Goss gave me a gift card for Christmas. I told him that Jim and I would be going "dutch", so I could stretch this gift card out for a while!

Day 357, Saturday, December 22, 2012
I bought these wooden Santas many years ago at a craft sale at Richwoods High School. They are 6 feet tall and made out of barn wood. We added the lights this year and the wreath was added a few years ago.
Day 356, Friday, December 21, 2012
Cindy and I exchanged gifts this morning at school. She got me lots of great stamping supplies. I got her a Longaberger 9x13 baking dish. Merry Christmas to my BFF! Love you!
Day 355, Thursday, December 20, 2012
It snowed today. Coco hasn't been in the snow yet! But he was loving it. He kinda looks like he is camouflaged against the ground.
Day 353, Tuesday, December 18, 2012
This is the wreath that is hanging on our door at school. I made this wreath last year and just had to "fluff up" the ribbon this year.
Day 352, Monday, December 17, 2012
Got some lottery tickets today in a bucket of Christmas candy. I didn't get to say "Winner, winner, chicken dinner!", but it was fun to scratch off the tickets and hope for the big one!
Day 351, Sunday, December 16, 2012
I made these glitter ornaments for a special little girl for her Christmas tree in her bedroom. I hope Maddie liked them!
Day 350, Saturday, December 15, 2012
We went to the hockey game tonight. The Rivermen office has been running the 12 days of Christmas specials. We bought tickets for 7 games tonight for $10 each for the lower bowl. We are sitting 3 rows from the glass!
Day 349, Friday, December 14, 2012
Today was the final day for the food drive. The fire department makes baskets to deliver to families in our school district. The classroom with the most weight, got a donut party.
Day 348, Thursday, December 13, 2012
I made some thank you cards to send to the students who bring me a present at school. These snowmen are chipboard, inked white, covered in glossy accents, sprinkled with chunky glitter, felt hat and polar fleese scarf.
Day 346, Tuesday, December 11, 2012
I have been looking for tooth containers for school. I found some and ordered them, but I got a card in the mail that said they were out of stock and weren't going to be re-ordered. Mr. Goss was looking for something in one of the unused rooms and found these. We should be good for a while!
Day 345, Monday, December 10, 2012
I had to change the laminating film this morning. I have been changing the rolls of film for 25 years. It is easier to change it if there is still film on the roll. Well, today it was completely empty. I bought different film the last time we ordered it and this threading card was in the box. Where has it been for the past 25 years?
Day 344, Sunday, December 9, 2012
Stacie and I were busy making glitter ornaments. She took them to work for her co-workers. It was fun to spend the afternoon in the scrapcave working with my daughter!
Day 343, Saturday, December 8, 2012
Seems to be all about Coco this week. He thinks my scrap trash is just the right height! He constantly has paper in his mouth!
Day 342, Friday, December 7, 2012
Well, someone has been busy chewing on my chair rung! He worked really hard on this today. From now on, he will be in the kennel when we are not at home.
Day 340, Wednesday, December 5, 2012
This is Coco's first Christmas. I made his stocking (not a very good job with the plaid at the top!). Hopefully, Santa will find his stocking and he will get some treats. But he has to be good. He hasn't had many of those moments lately!
Day 339, Tuesday, December 4, 2012
Coco wanted to play ball. He will bring a toy or ball to me, drop it and wait for me to pick it up and he grabs it back and runs! Sometimes I am fast enough to get it, but most of the time I am not. He just loves to play.
Day 338, Monday, December 3, 2012
We met at Linda's house tonight for our Christmas Party. The Chirpin' Chicks had the cookie and recipe exchange and we also did a $10 gift exchange, which had to be card or scrapbook related. Linda baked pizza from Papa Murphy's. It was fun bein together and exchanging gifts. There was a lot of "stealing" going on and after it was all over, Carol and I swapped gifts!

Day 337, Sunday, December 2, 2012
Jim was up on the ladder stringing the new LED lights. It was 60 degrees today. We bought gutter clips to help hold the lights in place. They seem to work pretty good.
Day 337, Saturday, December 1, 2012
I have been walking Coco after school everyday until he had his surgery. The vet recommended he have a few days off. Today was warm for the season, so we went for a short walk. He always has to stop at the fire hydrant on the corner and lift his leg.
Day 335, Friday, November 30, 2012
We went to the Morton Buildings Christmas Party at the Par-a-dice Hotel. The dessert was placed on the table before the party even started. Mine was double chocolate cake. I figured the point value and decided to have 1 bite. I didn't take another bite. I didn't really like it. It tasted like I had licked the can of cocoa!
Day 334, Thursday, November 29, 2012
I lined up all my Santa's as I was decorating over the weekend. I hope Coco leaves them where I put them.
Day 333, Wednesday, November 28, 2012
I got my order from Simon Says Stamp today. I purchased these supplies with the remainder of my birthday cash! Can't wait to play with all of these new things.
Day 332, Tuesday, November 27, 2012
This morning I heard a noise in the kitchen where Coco was. I guess he was tired of wearing that cone. He got it off and chewed all of the loops up. That cone was not going back on him!
Day 331, Monday, November 26, 2012
This is my new favorite meal. My friend Linda, who is also a Weight Watcher, made pizza for me a couple of weeks ago. I have been making this pizza on pita bread with turkey sausage, mushrooms, peppers and reduced fat cheese. I bake it on a stone and love it!
Day 330, Sunday, November 25, 2012
I cleaned out the storage area, today. I tossed all of the old clothes that I can no longer wear. Well, I donated them to Goodwill. Anyway, I found these old t-shirts that were Nates. Some of these he wore in junior high. He said he didn't want them, but I kept them anyway.
Day 329, Saturday, November 24, 2012
Tonight we went to the Festival of Lights in East Peoria. We haven't gone there for several years. They have replaced all of the lights with LED bulbs. It was fun to see all the floats in one place.
Day 328, Friday, November 23, 2012
This was my favorite Gingerbread house. We went to the hockey game tonight and the foyer was decorated with different Gingerbread houses.
Day 327, Thursday, November 22, 2012
I know, Peyton and Coco in the dog kennel, on Thanksgiving. Yep, every time Peyton comes to visit me, he gets in the kennel with Coco. I think they both like it! Happy Thanksgiving.
Day 326, Wednesday, November 21, 2012
I started baking the pumpkin cake for Thanksgiving dinner. I really don't like to bake. It is a lot of work for me. I don't like the mess and I don't need the calories. But my family will love having the pumpkin cake for dessert tomorrow!
Day 325, Tuesday, November 20, 2012
Coco has the cone on because he had surgery yesterday. He got neutered and micro-chipped. He wasn't happy to wear the cone, but he was happy to see me when I picked him up!
Day 324, Monday, November 19, 2012
On my way home from work tonight, there was lots of cloud cover. The sun was peeking through just a little slice of the clouds.
Sunday, November 18, 2012
Day 323, Sunday, November 18, 2012
We ate lunch at Flat Top Grill. I had my birthday "free stir-fry". I had forgotten about it, but Jim remembered! It expired tomorrow. I did not eat with the chopsticks. But maybe I should, as I know I wouldn't get much food in my mouth! Anyway, my stir-fry was awesome and I have enough left for lunch tomorrow!
Day 321, Friday, November 16, 2012
We went to the hockey game tonight. We sat in section 4 tonight. We have been sitting in 5A. I walked for 30 minutes before the game started as we were there early tonight.
Day 320, Thursday, November 15, 2012
The Pre-Kindergarten students made a Thanksgiving snack. Each child brought their favorite snack to school. Each one took a turn emptying their baggie into the mixture. The teacher stirred it all up and filled their baggie with the mix. It was fun to watch them create this mix for their snack!
Day 319, Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Happy Birthday, Cindy! I had to get her this cupcake for her birthday. It was green, which is her favorite color and it had a candy snowman on top of it. I hope she enjoyed it and her birthday!
Day 318, Tuesday, November 13, 2012
I mailed my Thanksgiving cards tonight after work. I don't do as many as I make for Christmas, but these were very labor intensive!
Day 317, Monday, November 12, 2012
Our Weight Watchers meeting has moved to a new location. For as long as I can remember, the meetings were held at the church. Last week was the first meeting at the mall. It is a very nice store, but it sure seems small compared to our other meeting room.
Sunday, November 11, 2012
Day 316, Sunday, November 11, 2012
I worked on a "special order" card for Stacie. How fitting that I would make a card with a flag in the shape of the United States on Veteran's Day. I think she liked it when she picked it up this afternoon.
Day 315, Saturday, November 10, 2012
We went to the hockey game tonight. We bought the only seats that were available in our "usual" section. Seat 1 & 2 are the seats that Cindy and Eric normally sit in. We kept them warm for them tonight!
Day 314, Friday, November 9, 2012
Our students had a Veteran's Day assembly this afternoon. The Pre-Kindergarten students cut the shape of their hand from blue construction paper. Kindergarten, First and Second graders used red construction paper. After the morning Pre-K add their handprints on Monday, we will hang the finished flag in our gym.
Day 313, Thursday, November 8, 2012
I made salad's for dinner tonight. Jim was playing tennis with Byron. I often make chef salad's for us on tennis nights.
Day 312, Wednesday, November 7, 2012
Happy Birthday, Nate! I can't believe he is 31 years old today. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner tonight. Yes, I counted my points and stayed on track!!
Day 310, Monday, November 5, 2012
We had our Chirpin' Chicks card swap tonight at Avanti's. I am feeding my friend Ericka's sweet little babygirl! She is such a happy little thing! Our cards were Christmas this month. Next month is our Christmas party, gift exchange and cookie swap.
Day 309, Sunday, November 4, 2012
I guess I have never noticed the greenery that is growing through our lattice, as the colors change. This year it seems to be so orange.
