Day 51, Thursday, February 20, 2025

 

We thought we could get Jim's meds after 10:15 a.m.  Nope, didn't get them, Daphne didn't have them, Foley said they did, but when we got there, they didn't have the total 90 count script.  The pharmacist finally gave us 30. We had dinner with Cindy and Angie at Cosmo's.  Very good food.  We ordered from the "Sunset Menu"!  Coco did ok in the kennel. He did bark but not the whole time we were gone.

Day 50, Wednesday, February 19, 2025

 

Today it was 6 degrees at home and 51 degrees in Fairhope.  We stayed at home all day because it was raining.  around 4 pm we went for a drive to Mullet Point Park.  It is a small park along the bay.  It was pretty but no beach to walk along or any paved paths.

Day 49, Tuesday, February 18, 2025

 

Jim will start a prescription to lower his heart rate.  We walked at the pier for a little while, today.  Coco loves walking there.  Joe, our neighbor and owner of the property we are staying at, brought us a piece of King cake.

Day 48, Monday, February 17, 2025

 

Jim's heart rate was in the 70's when we got up.  He called Dr Buddha's office at 8.  He got a message on my chart that his heart rate was 200 around 4/4:30 yesterday when he had the dizzy spell.  We will wait to see what they say when they return the call.  The flowers around the outside of the house are blooming!  Today, the temp was 35 degrees outside and windy again.

Day 47, Sunday, February 16, 2025

 

We went to Fairhope Beach to walk, but it was really windy.  The water was brown and very choppy.  Coco didn't slow down, sniffing from tree to tree to post.  Jim and Coco took a nap.  About 4/4:30 Jim had a dizzy spell.  His heart rate was up to 136.  He was very upset about this.  We ate dinner, but his heart rate was still off.  We watched SNL 50 year anniversary.  We were disappointed with the whole show.  It was fun to see the actors from the beginning of the show again, but the musical guests were not our style.  We went to bed early.

Day 46, Saturday, February 15, 2025

We had breakfast at Panini Pete's again.  I found another shirt at The Colony.  Jim dropped me off at the beginning of the Art's Alley so I could take some pictures of the murals.  We took Coco for a walk down by the pier.  We met several people walking their dogs, too.  Fairhope is very dog friendly.  Jim and Coco took a very long nap after our walk.  I did laundry and scrapbooked.

 

Day 45, Friday, February 14, 2025

 

Happy Valentine's Day!  We exchanged cards, went to Planet Fitness and took a trip to Daphne to do some shopping.  We went to Sam's, ate at 5 guys with Coco in his stroller, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, AMC to get our popcorn bucket refilled, Fresh Market for twice baked potatoes and bacon & cheese burgers.  We went back to Fairhope on route 98.  Jim and Coco had a nap and I scrapped.  Jim got me flowers at Sam's!
