Day 233, Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Today was the first day of school.  Not a great start for me.  It was a really rough day.  Anyway, it is over and I only have 174 more student attendance days!  We got new lanyards to wear at school.  We are trying to improve our security and will need to carry our building keys with us.

Day 232, Tuesday, August 20, 2013

Coco and I went to puppy class.  He is really such a good little guy, but he has some things to work on.  We didn't have a good night!  Another dog bit Coco's tail (and nipped my behind) during recess!!  I knew the other dog was being aggressive, so I picked Coco up to walk around.  He jumped up to grab Coco's tail and pulled his hair.  Coco sat under my chair the remainder of class.  Hope that dog doesn't come next week...we will leave if he does!!

Day 231, Monday, August 19, 2013

When I got to work this morning, these flowers were on my desk!  Jennifer left us a note to say thank you for helping her get the new school year going.  Let 2013-2014 begin, my 26th start to a new school year.

Day 230, Sunday, August 18, 2013

I have been walking outside with Coco everyday.  I bought new shoes to walk in.  My other shoes were not giving me enough support and my feet were starting to hurt.  I usually buy Nike's, but these are New Balance and I really like them.  I'm sure part of it is because they are new, but they do come up a little higher on my ankles.

Day 229, Saturday, August 17, 2013

There is a new shopping plaza across the street from Costco in East Peoria.  A Potbelly restaurant opened last week.  We ate there tonight.  I love those pop chips!

Day 228, Friday, August 16, 2013

Pekin is known as the "Marigold Capital of the World".  These flowers are not my favorite, however, I bought them because the buds were such a bright yellow color.  I am surprised at the size of the flowers.  They are as big as softballs!  Love it!

Day 227, Thursday, August 15, 2013

This is my latest Zentangle.  I like working on the larger pages.  I found something similar on Pinterest.  I love how just a little pencil adds so much dimension!
