Day 120, Friday, April 30
I had a meeting this morning and was away from my desk for a few hours. When I got back from lunch....there was a surprise for me! I love surprises! Jim sent me flowers for our 34th anniversary. We got married on May 1, 1976. Thanks for the flowers, Jim! And thanks for 34 years, too!
Day, 119, Thursday, April 29
I saw this bill board on the side of the bridge...I thought it was funny. So I asked Jim to go back around so I could take a picture of it....thought it would make a great potd. So he did (at least HE didn't have to be the potd). Then we drove on over the bridge and down the ramp on the other side to the stop light and the same sign was up on another location. Can't wait to see what becomes of the "Hi"!

Day 116, Monday, April 26
This is my workout from today. Jim bought me a new ipod for Christmas. I can connect it to my elliptical when I exercise and it will capture the information. When I sync my ipod, it sends the information to the Nike Fit website and records it. It's nice to be able to see improvement in a bar graph...confirmation that I am getting stronger and more fit!

St Pete Beach Album, It's 5 o'clock Somewhere
I used Life Is A Beach for this layout. I cut the toucan as large as I could using fit to page. I cut the beak as layers and inked them and cuttlebugged all of the pieces. I cut the whole bird again in brown and tan, so I could layer and cuttlebug the feet and branch, too. I added some doodles too. The leaves are from Life Is A Beach.
I cut the letters from Cuttin' Up and there isn't a shadow, so I cut them again in black to make a shadow. The pineapple drink...was fun to do! Again I cut layers in all the different colors and inked and cuttlebugged everything. I cut the cherry twice and pop dotted it and also put glossy accents on it to make it shine. Originally, I had planned to cut the pineapple drink out of velumn and layer the wording over it...like a watermark, but ended up liking the cut so well, that I just had to make a complete drink!
St Pete Beach Album, title page
This is the title page. I asked someone on the beach to take this picture of us. I used it on the cards that I sent home (instead of post cards) to family and friends. I constructed them from the Life Is A Beach cartridge before we left and just added the picture after I had it developed at the CVS across the street from the hotel. The green and blue "areas" are on a transparency. The paper is red with the white swirls. The word "Florida" is a clear sticker that I put on the red paper.
St Pete Beach Album, Escape to Paradise
Escape to Paradise...that's what we did July 14, 2009. These pictures are from the air when we flew to St. Pete Beach. I made the suitcase out of a cardstock rectangle, used two circle punches to punch the handle (one inside the other), and a tag punch that I put our last name on as a luggage tag. I also used some rub-ons.
day 114, Saturday, April 24
While this poster didn't happen today, it is something that Mrs. Ruark's kindergarten class always does for us for Secretary's day. For as many years as I can remember, she has had the students create a thank you poster for us. The children just tickle me when they draw pictures for us. It is amazing to see how well some of them are printing their names, too!

Crabby Bill's
This is my first layout completed for our St Pete Beach vacation from last summer. I used the Life Is A Beach Cricut cartridge to cut out the large crab (6"). I cut several layers and inked him and pop dotted the body, eyes (there are googly eyes) and claws. All of the small crabs were cut at 1 1/4", inked and googly eyes added. I cut the waves from cardstock and inked them and cuttlebugged the strip with the swirl folder. I created the title in Design Studio, by welding the font from Life Is A Beach...inked, cuttlebugged it with the distressed stripes folder and added some brads to look like nail heads.
This is the second page...same thing on the bottom border. I journaling and clipped the wording apart so I didn't have to place a large block on the page...I ran out of room! The paper and album is all K&Company, Sea Glass is the name of the paper. We loved Crabby Bill's. I have lots of beach pages to do and I can't wait to get them done now that I have started them!

Day 111, Wednesday, April 21
Happy Professional Adminstrative Assistant's Day, to Cindy and me! Mr. Goss send us these beautiful flowers today to say thank you for all the hard work we do on a day basis. We try hard to make him look good and accomplish everything that needs to be done in a day's time at school. This is my 22nd year at Marquette. Cindy has 18 years, I believe. We make a great team, even if I do say so myself. We also got some chocolates from Mrs. Butler and the Parents Club gave us a house plant. Thanks to everyone for making us feel so special and loved!
Day 110, Tuesday, April 20
Day 109, Monday, April 19
When I got to work today at noon (I had a doctor's appointment this morning), this was sitting on my desk. This is Secretaries week at our school. The official day is Wednesday, but we have a super duper sunshine person, Mrs. Ransom, who always makes our day stretch into a whole week. Isn't she the best??!!
Day 108, Sunday, April 18
I bought two new cricut cartridges yesterday. They aren't brand new ones, but fairly new, new to me anyway! Robotz and Create a Critter are also in the new to come out this summer, cuttlebug folders! Oh, how I love everything to match. Thanks Cricut message board for once again enabling me to purchase something I didn't know I needed!! (I had to construct another storage container to house my new purchases. The other one was full and only holds 40 cartridges...this makes 41!!)

Day 107, Saturday, April 17
This is a photo of our passport applications. We decided to get our passports before the fees went up and just in case we choose to vacation out of the country! They wouldn't use the pics I have on top of our applications because of the top of the chair showing. The background has to be white....so we had to pay $15 a piece to have our pics taken.

Day 105, Thursday, April 15
Jim and Byron have been playing tennis together for several years. Byron was the tennis pro at Parkside for many years. Our kids took lessons from him when they were in junior high and high school. I also took lessons from him for several years. But when Byron retired from teaching tennis, he asked Jim if he would like to play singles on thursday evenings. Jim never wins more than a couple of games....but he keeps trying...and he loves playing every time with Byron!

Day 100, Saturday, April 10
Happy 100th Day! Today was the 100 day of the year and I spent it in Collinsville at CKC. I got to meet my friend Amy, who has been participating in Project 365 for the second year with me and some other girls on the Cricut message board. It was such an awesome experience to meet Amy! She is so bubbly and cute...and short...I look like the jolly green giant next to her! I had to give her a hug, too! We talked for a while and she shared a picture of her kids, Kate and Jack, who are adorable! I also got to meet her friend Brooke, who was fun too! I hope we can get together again, soon!
Day 99, Friday, April 9
Cindy and I left at 4 p.m., for our annual trek to Collinsville to attend the Creating Keepsakes Convention. I don't know how many times we have gone together...maybe 5 or 6 years. This year, we stayed at Fairview Heights at the Drury Inn. We shopped at Archiver's and The Scrapbook Factory. We ended up at Applebee's for appetizers and dessert at about 11 p.m.! Yummy! It is great to have a Best Friend who loves to do the same things as you do!

Anniversary Card
I needed to make several anniversary cards for the month of April. I used the swirls folder to cuttlebug the background, Birds and Swirls for the white heart and the Swiss Dots for the open heart. I cut the heart shapes from Wedding Solutions cartridge. I added a charm heart and some rhinestones to the front.
Father's Day Card
I made this card for Father's Day..I cut the card and tag from Christmas Cheer and Joys of the Season. I made this during our cartridge challenge. I only had Christmas cartridges left and didn't really want to make a christmas card...so I figured out a way to make it Father's Day!
This is the inside.
Illinois Card
This is a card I made for Cindy. I sent it to her earlier in the week. Today, we are leaving for CKC St Louis...well, it really is in Collinsville, Illinois. We have gone together to the Creating Keepsakes Convention for several years. We are spending the night and shopping in Fairview Heights, tonight...taking two classes on saturday morning and then shopping until they close the doors on us at 5 p.m.!!! Yippeee!! And as an added bonus, I will get to meet one of my fellow cricut girls, Amy! Anyway, I made this card during my cartridge challenge using 50 States, Everyday Paper Doll (for the road at the bottom), and Going Places (for the Road Trip sign). I cuttlebugged the background with the Friends folder and added a few rhinestones as we "need" a little bling...we are girls you know!
Day 98, Thursday, April 8
Today was our Annual Jump Rope for Heart Event at school. Mrs. Cluskey, our P.E. teacher, sponsors this very worthwhile event. All of the money raised, goes to the American Heart Association. This year our 1st and 2nd grade students brought in $3,950. The students spent the afternoon on the playground jumping rope, listening to music, eating popcorn, apples and oranges and drinking juice and water!
Day 96, Tuesday, April 6
It is Tuesday...Biggest Loser, Couples is on at 7 p.m. I have been watching this season since the beginning. I have watched it off and on since the series began. I haven't missed an episode this season....it is getting interesting. Oh, and Jim, he doesn't like to watch it...guess he can't relate to being over weight!

Day 95, Monday, April 5
In January, my 365 friend Kelly, issued a challenge. We were to use every Cricut cartridge we owned and use paper and embellishments from our "stash". I am happy to say....I DID IT! I printed off my list of cartridges from the message board and started working on projects. I have to say that most of my cuts were for cards. I learned soooo much and found soooo many images that I didn't know I had! I even bought 3 cartridges during the time frame and used them, too! Thanks, Kelly, for challenging me to use my cartridges and "stash"!

Day 93, Saturday, April 3
Corbie and Zane are my two favorite little Rivermen fans. Tonight was the last regular home game for the 2009/2010 season. If they don't get a play off slot, it will be the last game for the year. I made some Easter boxes for the boys. Corbie chose the blue one and Zane got the green one.
This birthday card is for someone who has a birthday in April. I used Stretch Your Imangination for the card and birthday cake. The little tag is from Locker Talk.Day 91, Thursday, April 1 & Day 92, Friday, April 2
This is my MCPT challenge card for the month of April. I used the Happy Hopper stamp, Eggsellant. I cut the bunnies out after I colored them. I used Accent Essentials for the background and colored it with my blue pencil and added some doodling. I cut the lavender oval frame from George. I used My Community for the fence and grass (behind the bunnies). The flowers are Prima's and I used the threading water punch on the white inside. This style of card is an easel and the directions to create it are on splitcoaststamper.com.
I made these boxes from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I cut them as big as I could with the Expression. I used acetate for the window, as I filled the boxes with Easter candy. The stamps were $1 stamps from Michael's. I used the scallop circle, 1" circle and 3/4" circle punches for the tag.
This card is for the Chirpin' Chicks card swap. I can't remember which month it is for. We got our "assignment" sheet and I have created all the cards through the month of July. I used Mickey Font for the "ticket" shape, Plantin Schoolbook for the letters, except the "@" and that is from Cuttin' Up. The "you" is from Graphically Speaking. I used brads, paper clips, ribbon and Tim Holtz tiny attacher to staple the "k". Of course, I had to do some doodling and since I ran out of "notebook" paper I finished a few of them with "corkboard" paper.

I made this tag for Peyton's Easter Basket. I used Fabulous Finds to cut the tag, Doodlecharms for the bunny border and Stone Script for "Peyton".
I needed a few baby cards...two of which I already knew if they were boys or girls. I used New Arrival to cut "little one", Storybook to cut the white background, Cricut Sampler to cut the oneies. I cuttlebugged the white with swiss dots folder and used a Fiskars texture plate for the blue/pink background.
Inside of the baby card. New Arrival for the feet and Mini Monograms for the charm tag.

Day 90, Wednesday, March 31
Today, Nate stopped by to help me do a few errands. I haven't been able to drive since having surgery last week, but I needed to go to the post office, bank, etc., things that Jim couldn't drive me to after he got off work. I promised to take him out for lunch....So, Nate said he would "Drive Miss Daisy" today! When I came around the corner from the post office...he yelled out of the window "Hurry, Miss Daisy! It's hot in this car!" Made me laugh...and right now it hurts to laugh. We drove a little further and he said "Miss Daisy, do you need to go to the Piggly Wiggly?" Made me laugh again!
