Day 85, Saturday, March 26, 2022

While I was participating in "My Perfect Day" (see previous post, LOL), Jim sent me this picture of Coco on the rug with his head on the bare floor, his body on the rug and "our" blankie on the floor!

Day 84, Friday, March 25, 2022

At 8:45 a.m., this morning.  I had my annual Mammogram.  I got an email at 12:30 p.m., stating everything was normal.  I didn't have any concerns, so I wasn't surprised.

Day 83, Thursday, March 24, 2022

It is hard to believe there is 50,000 miles on the Equinox.  In all honesty, I envisioned there being many more miles.  Covid took away our travel experiences.  But hopefully, we will get some miles in soon.

Day 82, Wednesday, March 23, 2022

Today, the picture on the left came up in my memories on Facebook for National Dog Day.  The photo on the right is one I took today, 5 years later.  He has so much grey, but don't we all!  He was inky black and snow white when we got him!

Day 81, Tuesday, March 22, 2022

I am happy to say I have had many of "My Perfect Day" since I retired.  Some days are just like this list.  Others I have to do chores!

Day 80, Monday, March 21, 2022

During my shoulder surgery last July, I received donor tissue to help repair the hole that was made putting a post in the bone to hold my muscle and tendon. I was given a letter to write a "thank you" to the donor family.

Day 79, Sunday, March 20, 2022

Jim was able to get a US flag in memory of his dad's service during WWII.  He bought a flag shadow box to display the folded flag.  He will give it to his mom.  Austin and Scott helped Jim fold the flag correctly.

Day 78, Saturday, March 19, 2022

Stacie, Trisha, Luke, Grace, Cody, Aly and Kirby went to Alexander's for dinner tonight.  John's picture is on the wall behind them in the "Beefeater's" Club!

Day 77, Friday, March 18, 2022

This is a screenshot from our Furbo.  We can watch Coco while we are gone.  Usually, he is laying on the couch.  But I had "talked" to him through the Furbo, so he was looking for me.  We can also send him treats!

Day 76, Thursday, March 17, 2022

Happy Birthday, Jim!  Today he is 68!  I always wants a green beer on St. Patrick's Day.  He also wants to eat corned beef and cabbage!  We went to Railhouse for lunch with Stacie.

Day 75, Wednesday, March 16, 2022

We booked an Alaskan Cruise for June 2023.  This is the first thing I bought to scrapbook the trip!  I am just a little excited!

Day 74, Tuesday, March 15, 2022

Coco is 10 years old, today!  Happy Birthday to our little "senior"!

Day 73, Monday, March 14, 2022

Our last stop today, was Michael's.  I was so sad to see these paper racks so empty!

Day 72, Sunday, March 13, 2022

Almost every evening at some point in time, this little guy has to get under my recliner.  He likes to be under things.  We will find him under the table in the kitchen, under the end table in the living room and often just sleeping in his kennel.

Day 71, Saturday, March 12, 2022

I never thought I would see a snow blower in my living room.  No it is not a vacuum cleaner!  Jim assembled this for Stacie, but it is missing the safety clips, so he had to call the company and order some.

Day 70, Friday, March 11, 2022

Yes, I'm a list maker.  I also know I feel productive when I am "crafting', even if it only for a few minutes a day.  Sometimes, I do something NOT on my list, but I will write it on the list, just to cross it off!

Day 69, Thursday, March 10, 2022

Yep, it's Thursday, Yep, we got snow, Yep, we live in Central Illinois, Yep, next week we will be in the 60's and last Saturday it was 70!

Day 68, Wednesday, March 9, 2022

Happy Birthday, Kai!  Today he is 5 years old!

Day 67, Tuesday, March 8, 2022

This is the final season of This Is Us!  I'm not crying, you're crying!  Ugh!  I hate it when a series ends!

Day 66, Monday, March 7, 2022

Lisa sent me this picture of her and Amy.  They are on a road trip to Georgia and then to Hilton Head.  You can see the waves in the background...nothing makes them as happy as the sound of the waves and smell of the salt air!

Day 65, Sunday, March 6, 2022

We got a big smile from this birthday girl!  Gram is 95, today!  Happy Birthday!

Day 64, Saturday, March 5, 2022

We had an awesome day at our monthly crop.  This is the most girls we have had participate!  We were missing our fearless leader, Lisa...but she was on a trip to the beach, so I know she was happy, too!

Day 63, Friday, March 4, 2022

I restocked our purses at Timeless Treasure Market.  We are so thankful for this location to support our Totes for Ta-Ta's and #Lymphomaisaloser events!

Day 62, Thursday, March 3, 2022

We have been using the Beck's car wash for about a year now.  We pay a monthly fee for unlimited car washes.  This sign always makes me smile when I leave the garage!

Day 61. Wednesday, March 2, 2022

The past year has really been a struggle for me physically.  I went to see my surgeon this afternoon and he really boosted my spirits about my recovery.  He said I will continue to improve and most people take a year to fully recover.  I had 2 tears in my rotator cuff, 1 tear in my bicep and I had completely torn the muscle and tendon that comes from the back.  When he placed the post to repair the detachment, it went through my bone and he had to use donor tissue to fix it.

Day 60, Tuesday, March 1, 2022

We finally got to celebrate Stacie's birthday.  Between the snow and ice and her work schedule, we were late going out for dinner. We went to Joe's Italian Steakhouse for dinner.

Day, 59, Monday, February 28, 2022

I have been lifting weights to help with my recovery from my shoulder surgery.  I am thankful for the progress I have made in the last 7 months.  It was one year ago yesterday, I fell on the wet sand at Orange Beach and destroyed my right shoulder.

Day 58, Sunday, February 27, 2022

Last week, I bought this spring gnome.  I just added a few flowers to his hat.  I ordered a summer and a fall one, too!

Day 57, Saturday, February 26, 2022

Peyton sent me this photo.  They were at the Home Show at the Civic Center in Peoria.  He said, "Aunt Aprile, this is real!"  LOL

Day 56, Friday, February 25, 2022

Jim had his routine colonoscopy today.  He was a little overdue.  He was supposed to have it done at the 3 year mark, but because of COVID-19, he had to wait.  He called in November to get it scheduled.  Today was the first opening they had.  He had a few polyps, but nothing to worry about.
