Day 24, Friday, January 24, 2020

It was super foggy this morning.  It has snowed the past two days.  There isn't a lot of snow, but loads of ice.  I am staying in my house, because I can!

Day 23, Thursday, January 23, 2020

I have been working on my 2019 Project 365.  I had all of the pictures printed and in the page protectors.  I only had one week of journaling done, but all of it was on my blog.  I have about 4 weeks to finish.

Day 22, Wednesday, January 22, 2020

I made this wreath for Valentine's Day.  It is on a wire heart shaped form with nylon net looped around the edges.

Day 21, Tuesday, January 21, 2020

I took about 15 card kits to work on at the Barn.  I made birthday, anniversary, Christmas and Valentine's Day cards.  I still had 3 kits left to do, but I was very happy with the number of cards I got done.

Day 20, Monday, January 20, 2020

Mike is helping Nikki get her car dislodged from the ice.  It was really cold and the ice was really thick the last two days.

Day 19, Sunday, January 19, 2020

Kellee made us a Reuben sandwich for lunch!  It was just the perfect amount of ingredients.

Day 18, Saturday, January 18, 2020

Our group met at the Barn for the weekend.  This is the first time I get to stay for 4 days.  I always have to work on Friday and Monday.  It was so much fun!

Day 17, Friday, January 17, 2020

I stopped at Dick Blick on my way to the Barn.  I had to have my picture taken with Bob Ross.  I looked around the store. It always puts a smile on my face to see all the colors of the paint, pastels, markers and colored pencils.  This store is an outlet near the warehouse and it is fun to get the bargains.

Day 16, Thursday, January 16, 2020

I went to Parkside.  I rode the bike for 10 minutes.  I haven't been to exercise n a very, very long time.

Day 15, Wednesday, January 15, 2020

For my retirement gift, Jim gave me a certificate for a massage and pedi.  I went today for a hot stone massage ... which was wonderful.  I told him it would have been better if I had an uber home!

Day 14, Tuesday, January 14, 2020

I made these mason jar picture holders for my friends.  The glass jar looks like a "snowglobe" with a bottle brush tree, a snowman, snowflakes and chunky glitter.

Day 13, Monday, January 13, 2020

I had a dr appointment to get the results of my blood work after my iron infusion.  I am solidly in the normal range and feel so much better.  The dr still wants me to have an endoscopy, just to be sure there is no bleeding in my GI track.

Day 12, Sunday, January 12, 2020

I made some of these Tim Holtz trees to give to my scrapbooking pals.  I hope they like them.  The trees sit on top of  a tea light and the glow shines through the openings in the trees.

Day 11, Saturday, January 11, 2020

I found this card while I was looking for some Valentine's Day samples.  This is from MFT.  One of my favorite stamp companies.  I am trying very hard not to spend any money on crafts for now.

Day 10, Friday, January 10, 2020

There is going to be a snow storm soon.  I went to get groceries first thing this morning.  I got a couple gift cards at Michael's and Bath & Body Works.  I went to Peoria to see what I could find with my gift cards.

Day 9, Thursday, January 9, 2020

I had some errands to do this morning.  I stopped at Jimmy John's for lunch.

Day 8, Wednesday, January 8, 2020

I'm pretty sure that Coco is happy I don't have to leave every morning to go to work.  He is definitely enjoying his time on the couch with me.

Day 7, Tuesday, January 7, 2020

Cindy and I went shopping today and out for lunch.  We went to The Paper Forest.  I bought the dies to make these little trees.  While we were shopping we got calls and texts from our girls who replaced us at school.

Day 6, Monday, January 6, 2020

This reminder came across my phone as a text.  I don't have to go to school!  I'm officially retired and school is out forever for me.

Day 5, Sunday, January 5, 2020

I bought this little red truck at Hobby Lobby.  I am planning to change the "load" every month to go with the seasons or holidays.

Sunday, January 5, 2020

Day 4, Saturday, January 4, 2020

We got a gift card for Christmas.  Jim, Stacie and I ate lunch at Red Lobster.  It was yummy!

Day 3, Friday, January 3, 2019

When I was cleaning up my craft space the other day, I found some yarn that I use to make knitted dishcloths.  So, I thought I might as well use the yarn and make some new dishcloths.

Day 2, Thursday, January 2, 2020

This is my seventh year completing a December Daily album.  Sometimes I wonder why I do this album in December.  It is so busy and sometimes hard to get through.  But I have made this project fit my needs and it sends me to see things outside the box.

Day 1, Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Happy New Year!  I can't believe we are in the year 2020!  Let's make it a great year!

Day 365, Tuesday, December 31, 2019

We stayed in for New Year's Eve, this year.  I went to Kroger and picked up a few things for snacks.  Jim worked until about noon.  I made a "charcuterie" board for our late night snack tonight.

Day 364, Monday, December 30, 2019

Do you see him?  Behind the big snowman...?  Yep!  That would be E.T.  Jim found him before Christmas.  He was stuck in the Christmas decorations, too.  Coco doesn't think this is amusing.

Day 363, Sunday, December 29, 2019

Elaine sent us a picture of Lily with her lobster pull toy that we got her for Christmas.  I enjoyed some hot cocoa in my new mug that Stacie gave me for Christmas.

Day 362, Saturday, December 28, 2019

We took down the lights outside this afternoon.  The temperature was in the 50's, so it was the perfect time to get it done.  We decided to leave the moose and snowman out on the front steps as they are not Christmas decor.

Day 361, Friday, December 27, 2019

I have neglected my craft area for a couple of weeks.  You can see the brown box on my chair that I filled from my office desk at school.  I worked most of the afternoon to clean up and get some things put away, so I can finish my December Daily album.

Day 360, Thursday, December 26, 2019

I started taking down the Christmas decorations at about 6:30 this morning.  I love to have all the festive things out, but I am ready for them to be put away, too.  I went through ALL of the holiday tubs and loaded up the car this evening to take some things to the Hope Chest.

Day 359, Wednesday, December 25, 2019

Merry Christmas!  We had our usual monkey bread, opening gifts and ham, egg and cheese croissants, this morning for breakfast.  When everyone left, we had a nap!

Day 358, Tuesday, December 24, 2019

We had a bunch of family here for Christmas Eve.  It was great to see everyone, have some good food and open gifts.  The entertainment of course, was Jackson as he was opening his gifts.  It is amazing to see what will keep the attention of a two year old.

Day 357, Monday, December 23, 2019

Stacie took her wedding rings to Udry's and had them make a "right hand" ring to wear.  She had an idea of what she wanted it to look like and the jeweler did exactly what she wanted.

Day 356, Sunday, December 22, 2019

I have been working around the house and Coco has been following me.  I sat down for a minute and Coco went under the table.

Day 355, Saturday, December 21, 2019

We decided to go eat dinner at Cracker Barrel and see some lights.  There is a house on main in Morton that was very nicely done.  We have been out to Washington to Griswold Way, but we were really close so we went out there to see the lights.

Day 354, Friday, December 20, 2019

O days left has finally arrived!  We had a great day with our school and family!  Jim and Stacie came and so did Eric and Jen.  Each grade level sang a popular song with retirement lyrics.  Pre-K sang "Baby Shark", Kindergarten sang "We Will Rock You", First grade sang, "Eye of the Tiger" and Second grade sang, "Call Me Maybe".  After the Christmas Sing, the staff went to the computer lab where they gave us a photo and the "ABC's" of Retirement.  We really felt loved, appreciated and that we will be missed.

Day 353, Thursday, December 19, 2019

Stacie gave us Jerry Seinfeld tickets for Christmas.  She had to give them to us a little early since the show was tonight.  We went out to eat before the show and really enjoyed listening to the wit and humor of Jerry Seinfeld!

Day 352, Wednesday, December 18, 2019

Happy Birthday, Millie!  Today, we are celebrating Millie's second birthday!  She got a new toy and some treats for her birthday!

Day 351, Tuesday, December 17, 2019

Jim ordered Coco some treats from a place in California.  The box finally arrived today.  It took 11 days and 11 stops before it finally appeared on our front porch.  You can see Coco was very happy he got a shipment!

Day 350, Monday, December 16, 2019

5 days left and I feared we were going to have to use a snow day!  But we didn't!  This week will go by really fast!

Day 349, Sunday, December 15, 2019

We went to the Escape 60 "Saving Santa" this afternoon.  We had instructions from our friendly Elf, Jingle, to save Christmas by finding the Naughty or Nice? list that Santa didn't get into his sleigh.  We had a great time and saved Santa by about 15 seconds.  Lisa was on the Naughty list, because she kept saying, "Oh, shit!".  We went to eat lunch at One World Cafe and had a great meal with awesome friends!

Day 348, Saturday, December 14, 2019

I haven't been feeling well.  I have had bronchitis and low iron counts for a while.  We decided it was going to be a money/gift card Christmas this year.  We hit the Kroger Gift Card Bar for the win!

Day 347, Friday, December 13, 2019

Ha! Fuzzy socks, day!

Day 346, Thursday, December 12, 2019

We had hot cocoa and muffins for treats in the lounge, today!

Day 345, Wednesday, December 11, 2019

Working in an elementary building is fun at times.  Today was were your ears or funny hat day!

Day 344, Tuesday, December 10, 2019

We have had this tree and wreath for our school office for many years.  When Cindy opened the ornament box, it was empty.  We couldn't figure out what happened to our ornaments.  She opened the tree box...we had put the tree away, decorated!  Then we remembered what happened.  A student was brought back to us after school because their parent wasn't home.  We didn't get out of the office until 4 on our 2:15 pm early dismissal day.  So, the tree went in the box...decorated!

Day 343, Monday, December 9, 2019

10 days left!  In two weeks, I will be retired.  Tomorrow, will be a single digit day!  Janeie put this bulletin board up outside her classroom this morning.  I couldn't resist!

Day 342, Sunday, December 8, 2019

Another idea for December Daily album.  I had to text Kellee and Lisa because I thought it said "shituation", which is something we say when we are together.

Day 341, Saturday, December 7, 2019

Yesterday, all of the secretaries and administrators went out for lunch at West Dublin.  We celebrated our retirement coming up on December 20th.

Day 340, Friday, December 6, 2019

Tonight was the Morton Building Christmas Party.  The food was really good and the location was new for this year.
