Day 91, Saturday, April 1, 2017

We gave Peyton a Best Buy gift card for his birthday.  We picked him up today and went shopping.  We had lunch at Grandpa John's BBQ.  It was a fun trip.

Day 90, Friday, March 31, 2017

My finished card using the papers that I made with the new Distress Oxide inks!

Day 89, Thursday, March 30, 2017

Jim bought me this book for Christmas.  The first book as well.  If you don't follow the Humans of New York on Facebook, you should.  At first, he was taking pictures and adding his description of the person and location.  Now he actually interviews the subjects and adds their quote to the photo.  Very interesting.

Day 88, Wednesday, March 29, 2017

I am so happy to see these buds on my tulips.  After we go snow last week, I was sure the buds wouldn't grow, but they are!

Day 87, Tuesday, March 28, 2017

I got to play with my new inks!  The paper was so wet, I had to let it dry for a couple of days.  Now to figure out what card I am going to make.

Day 86, Monday, March 27, 2017

I finally took the time to do my nails.  Since Christmas, they have been cracked, broken, split and just plain awful.

Day 85, Sunday, March 26, 2017

It rained a little bit this morning.  This is our lilac bush and I used my iphone 7+ to take a photo of the buds with a drop of water on them.

Day 84, Saturday, March 25, 2017

We have this huge closet in the family room, where we store all the games/books and other stuff.  Since we are doing the 40 bags for Lent, we cleaned out this closet.  The one door was dragging, so we fixed it.  On the inside of the door, I found this!

Day 83, Friday, March 24, 2017

Stacie and Jordan are on their way to the beach.  She flew to Myrtle Beach to spend a few days with Rachel, Mike and Jordan as they are on vacation for two weeks.

Day 82, Thursday, March 23, 2017

I finally found the chutney for crab dip!

Day 81, Wednesday, March 22, 2017

Tim Holtz have come out with new Distress Oxide ink.  I can't wait to try it out!  I have been watching videos since he announced the new inks.

Day 80, Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Yep, Kia is growing by leaps and bounds!

Day 79, Monday, March 20, 2017

The Dairy Queen in our area just opened up a few days ago.  Today they offered a free ice cream cone to every customer.  Don't mind if I do!

Day 78, Sunday, March 19, 2017

This is the first mow of the year.  Can you believe that 7 days ago there was snow on the ground?

Day 77, Saturday, March 18, 2017

On Saturday and Sunday morning, Jim and I sit on the couch for about an hour.  Coco usually, eats, plays or just watches over the neighborhood.  Sometimes, we have a visitor...you can see the cat walking right by the door in front of Coco.

Day 76, Friday, March 17, 2017

Jim and I went to Kouri's for his birthday.  He got his green beer and corned beef and cabbage.  Apparently, the bishop issued a special dispensation to allow Catholics to eat meat this Friday of Lent.

Day 75, Thursday, March 16, 2017

This one of the double edge swords of working at school.  On one side, I got a mint shake for a treat, on the other side I got a mint shake for a treat with lots of calories.

Day 74, Wednesday, March 15, 2017

This cardinal was perched in the evergreen tree just outside my window at work.

Day 73, Monday, March 14, 2017

This is very good advice.  Everyday is not going to be perfect. Just keep living as Johnny Mac would say.

Day 72, Monday, March 13, 2017

I didn't want to get up to snow on the ground this morning!

Day 71, Sunday, March 12, 2017

We have started a project for Lent.  Instead of giving up food, we are getting 40 bags/boxes of stuff out of our house.  This is the tally so far.

Day 70, Saturday, March 11, 2017

We went to the Titanic exhibit at the Riverfront Museum this morning.  This is the last weekend for the exhibit.  We enjoyed the displays.  We each got a passenger ticket.  One lived, one perished.

Day 69, Friday, March 10, 2017

Andy sent us this picture of Kia.  He has to stay in the nursery for a little while as he is so small and not eating great yet.  His color looks good and they are monitoring him.

Day 68, Thursday, March 9, 2017

We got a surprise from New York, today!  Our great nephew Kia was born this morning a couple of weeks early.  He and Preeti are doing well.  He is just under 5 pounds.

Day 67, Wednesday, March 8, 2017

My knee is definitely feeling better, so Coco and I were able to go on our walk after work.

Day 66, Tuesday, March 7, 2017

You never know what you will need to teach a Pre-K student.  Today a for some reason a little guy pulled down his pants in the classroom before he went into the bathroom.

Day 65, Monday, March 6, 2017

I got another cortisone shot in my knee today.  I hope it feels better in the morning.

Day 64, Sunday, March 5, 2017

We had a taco party this evening.  Peyton was the only one to wear the Mexican sombrero!  Lots of tacos and enchiladas were eaten!

Day 63, Saturday, March 4, 2017

We went to a fundraiser with Stacie.  She won an action for a signed Cardinal baseball.  As you can see, she is pretty happy about it.

Day 62, Friday, March 3, 2017

Yes, I bought giraffe leggings.  I do love the giraffes at the zoo.  But there is a giraffe, in New York that is expecting a calf and her name is April.  I just thought if I work these leggings today, maybe she would have that baby.

Day 61, Thursday, March 2, 2017

Cindy and I created the door decoration for Read Across America.  The Cat In The Hat came to read to our students and everyone got to chose a new book to take home to read.

Day 60, Wednesday, March 1, 2017

You know the old saying...March comes in like a Lion and out like a Lamb.  We can only hope after this tonight a little north of us.

Day 59, Tuesday, February 28, 2017

We had a special visitor at school today.  Janeie brought Jake her new puppy to visit.  When I got home, this is how Coco greeted me.  With his nose, sniffing every spot that touched Jake!

Day 58, Monday, February 27, 2017

Stacie posted this quote on Facebook.  I am sure she has made it to and through the strong part.

Day 57, Sunday, February 26, 2017

It has been so warm and my tulips are growing.  I hope it doesn't get really cold again and they get zapped!

Day 55, Friday, February 24, 2017

I had my letter stickers in a container with a lid.  I moved them to this open container and they are so much easier to access.

Day 54, Thursday, February 23, 2017

Truer words could never be spoken!

Day 53, Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Coco just got home from the groomer.  He loves to go to the puppy spa.  They are so good with him and he always looks so handsome.

Day 52, Tuesday, February 21, 2017

I saw this quote and I believe it!

Day 51, Monday, February 20, 2017

Today is President's day and I was off work, so I went to see my Mom.

Day 50, Sunday, February 19, 2017

Happy Birthday, Stacie!  We took her to lunch and got her some cupcakes!

Day 49, Saturday, February 18, 2017

We took Coco to the dog park this afternoon.  There is a little black dog just behind him and he doesn't really like him.  But the rest of the visit went well.

Day 48, Friday, February 17, 2017

I have been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately.  I hope to recreate this layout soon!

Day 47, Thursday, February 16, 2017

We grilled some veggies on the grill tonight.  Brussels sprouts, mushrooms and carrots...and bacon, everything is better with bacon!

Day 46, Wednesday, February 15, 2017

This is what happens on Valentine's Day to our desk at work.  Cindy and I are always so spoiled for any holiday at school.

Day 45, Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Jim never fails to remember to get me flowers for Valentine's Day.  Thanks, they are beautiful!

Day 44, Monday, February 13, 2017

I needed to schedule a few appointments.  I took the time to get them all lined up in the next few weeks.

Day 43, Sunday, February 12, 2017

We have been seeing a cardinal in our yard since we added another bird feeder with sunflower seed.

Day 42, Saturday, February 11, 2017

Jim, Stacie and I went to Running Central to buy her some new walking shoes.  I got new ones, too!  We also went to the Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern.  We will surely be back!

Day 41, Friday, February 10, 2017

It has been a very long week and I couldn't be happier that it is Friday!
