Day 178, Tuesday, June 26, 2012

Yesterday and today, Cindy and I worked on the hearts for this canvas.  We are taking an on-line class from Jennifer McGuire.  She taught this class last summer, but we didn't register for it then.  There are 23 hearts with different techniques to complete.  Can't wait to get the rest of them done!

Day 177, Monday, June 25, 2012

The guys came this morning to grind out the stump from the tree.  They got this far and the ginder lost a bearing or something like that!  They had to pack up the truck and come back tomorrow.

Day 176, Sunday, June 24, 2012

These flowers are just outside the door at Parkside.  There seems to always be something in bloom.  Kinda cheers me up as I am going in to workout!

Day 175, Saturday, June 23, 2012

I am so happy Nikki is having Stampin' Up! workshops again!  Today, she hosted a new catalog open house.  I got to make this photo album out of one sheet of designer paper.  I can't wait to see what new things she will be creating!

Day 174, Friday, June 22, 2012

Love him!

Day 173, Thursday, June 21, 2012

I had Peyton this afternoon.  It was raining when I picked him up, but after we ate lunch the sun was shining, so we went to the zoo.  I love to watch the giraffes.  We watched these two trying to eat the leaves from the trees on the outter edge of their pen.  The little guy couldn't reach the leaves.  He just isn't tall enough yet!  It was an awesome day at the zoo!

Day 172, Wednesday, June 20, 2012

If you look really close in the center of the tree, you can see a guy in a red shirt.  He cut the tree down, limb by limb.  At the end of the day, ALL of the limbs in this picture were gone.  The crew did an excellent job.  Our power was off for 10 hours today.

Day 171, Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Tomorrow the tree company is coming to remove this tree from our backyard.  This tree has been growing at least 3 feet a year.  The limbs are pushing the power lines up and everytime the wind blows, we wait for the power to go out.  Our lawn will not be in the shade anymore!  Makes me sad to lose a good tree, however there is nothing we can do about the power, telephone and cable lines!

Day 170, Monday, June 18, 2012

We stopped at the greenhouse on saturday and picked up a few more plants.  I couldn't resist taking a picture of this hibiscus flower.  It was a beauty!

Day 169, Sunday, June 17, 2012

Happy Father's Day!  We invited my parents to go out for supper tonight.  We went to Kouri's to eat.  I gave my dad some $$$'s for his gift.  I can't wait to see what he spends it on.  He folded up the cash and stuck in right in his wallet!

Day 168, Saturday, June 16, 2012

We met John, Stacie, Tom and Cathy at Five Guys for lunch today.  The kids took us out for lunch for Father's Day.  I saved my weekly points to be able to splurge on a Five Guys hamburger and a few fries.  You know a resturant isn't Weight Watcher friendly when you can't find the pointsplus!  Hopefully, I over estimated!  Anyway, it was great to spend some time with our family today!

Day 167, Friday, June 15, 2012

Our little Coco is 3 months old.  Love you little guy!

Day 166, Thursday, June 14, 2012

Coco had his first haircut this morning.  He was really good for the groomer.  He got a bath, nails trimmed and some hair cut around his face.  He looks like a different puppy.  I made an appointment for him to get a bath in two weeks.  We will see how fast his hair grows and make a regular grooming appointment.

Day 165, Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Who is the mystery guest at lunch?  Oh, that's right, I picked up Peyton at noon today.  We went to Subway with Coco and ate lunch in the park.  We walked around the lagoon for a little while.  We went home and Coco took a nap.  Peyton and I worked on a few experiments!  It was a very fun afternoon!

Day 164, Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Coco had to go to the vet again to get another puppy shot.  I will only allow them to give him one at a time.  He is so little and not that I don't trust the vet, I do, however, if he had a reaction to one of the immunizations and he had gotten more than one we wouldn't know which one upset his system.  I don't mind taking him back several times.  They don't charge me any extra for doing the immunizations one at a time.  He didn't like this one any better than the first one!  Poor little guy!

Day 163, Monday, June 11, 2012

I unpacked all my treasures from our scrapbook trip.  This is all of the class layouts and the mini album that I got from the convention.  It was so much fun to spend 2 days in classes and shopping.  I can't wait until next year!

Day 162, Sunday, June 10, 2012

We stopped at Applebee's in Springfield to eat lunch.  We each had a gift card from the end of the school year.  (thanks Cooper family)  We had planned to stop at the Shopko, but were surprised to see the store was closed and another business had taken over the building!  We did find a new Jo-Ann's Fabrics and spent a little time in there.  We stayed up late last night and worked on our  kits from the classes that we took on saturday.  It was a great trip!

Day 161, Saturday, June 9, 2012

We have 3 classes today and are spending the night at the Drury Inn again.  Can't wait to see what the classes will be today!  It is so much fun to start the summer with my BFF and scrapbooking!

Day 160, Friday, June 8, 2012

Cindy and I left early this morning to drive to Collinsville for the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention.  We have been going to this event for many years.  We spent the day shopping and taking one class from the Button Farm.  It was a great project and we can't wait to finish the mini album.  We ate at Lotawata Creek for supper.  The food was amazing and we talked about bringing the guys to this restaurant soon!

Day 159, Thursday, June 7, 2012

Today is our last day to work for 7 weeks!  We were so excited all day!  We have been working at Georgetowne for the past week because our building has been closed due to tile removal.

Sunday, June 10, 2012

Day 158, Wednesday, June 6, 2012

Yes, this this is Cindy's new car, having the windsheild replaced because a rock chips it last week!

Day 157, Tuesday, June 5, 2012

Nate stopped to see me today and he always has to sit on Cindy's lap!

Day 156, Monday, June 4, 2012

Cindy, Dara and I worked all day today, trimming the box tops.  We have moved to another building because the tile is being removed from ours.  We have 3 more days to work before summer break begins for us!

Day 155, Sunday, June 3, 2012

I trimed the bushes in the front yard this morning.  I worked outside weeding the flower beds while Jim mowed the lawn and spread cocoa bean mulch.  It smells like chocolate outside.  I am happy to have this job done for now!

Day 154, Saturday, June 2, 2012

We went downtown to the river front to get our pictures taken today.  There are lots of places in this area to pose for photos.  Megan Shane, who is a friend of Stacie's, took our photos.  I can't wait to see what the pictures look like.  I had her snap this one with my iphone for my POTD!

Day 153, Friday, June 1, 2012

This is a bloom on the hibiscus plant that we bought Mom for Mother's Day. It is a beautiful shade of coral!

Day 152, Thursday, May 31, 2012

Here is my best little buddy right now!  I am so lucky to have him and take him with me to work for a few days.  I have been taking lots of pictures of him as he changes so much right now.  You can see his little teeth if you look really close.  Those weren't through the gum when I got him.  Love this little, Coco!

Day 151, Wednesday, May 30, 2012

I have been working on the labels for my Tim Holtz ink pads.  I put a label on all four sides so I can see what color the pad is without having to pick it up to look on the bottom.

Day 150, Tuesday, May 29, 2012

Nate has been working in the Cath Lab at the hospital.  He has to wear scrubs and they have to be hospital issue.  So, the pant legs are about 6 inches too short.

Day 149, Monday, May 28, 2012

Today is Memorial Day.  Jim took his Mom to get some flowers to put on Dad's grave.  The stone was set at the end of last week, just in time for Memorial Day.  We miss you Dad every day.  It was hard for me to see Mom's name on the stone, already.
