Day 299, Wednesday, October 26

I am so lucky to have a best friend who loves to stamp and scrapbook as much as I do!  Cindy and I went to Nikki's Christmas Card Crank tonight at the library.  We spent 2 hours making Christmas Cards.  It was so much fun to spend the evening with Cindy and all the other stampers!  I have 8 Christmas Cards ready to be sent in December!  Thanks to Nikki for designing awesome cards for us!

Day 298, Tuesday, October 25

I had to pick up some sheet protectors and ink refills for work tonight.  I had a 50% off coupon for the sheet protectors and a $10 off a purchase over $20, plus the protectors were $3 cheaper in the store than they were on-line.  I also got to use my reward card....so will get reward $$'s for this purchase, too!

Day 297, Monday, October 24

I took this picture of Winston and he looks like he is smiling!  Do dogs smile?  I like to think they do!  Today is my mom's birthday.  Happy Birthday, Mother!

Day 296, Sunday, October 23

Jim worked in the yard cleaning up the lawn and leaves that have fallen in the past few days.  I did the laundry and cleaned up my scrap cave!

Day 295, Saturday, October 22

Nate came over today for the puppy spa!  He brushed Winston, trimmed his nails and gave him a bath.  Winston did NOT like having his nails trimmed.  Nate had to hold him down to use the dremel!

Day 294, Friday, October 21

The pumpkin people are out in the park again this year.  I like seeing them in the flower beds.  Today is my dad's birthday!  Happy Birthday, Pop!

Day 293, Thursday, October 20

I finally found my ATC's from Spraguefest.  I couldn't find them when I got home.  I spread them out on my fabric fat quarter that was in our goodie bag from Carina Gardner.  Loved this pink fabric with the alphabet on it.  And I love having these little pieces of art from all of my friends at Spraguefest!

Day 292, Wednesday, October 19

We have been using this elevator alot in the past few days.  Jim's dad is on the 5th floor of the hospital and we have been going there daily.

Day 291, Tuesday, October 18

At 3:15 a.m., we got a call from the hospital.  Jim's dad was not doing well.  He went to check on him and I went to pick up his mom.  He ended up calling everyone because it didn't look good at all. But as the morning progressed...he improved!  He is doing much better.

Day 290, Monday, October 17

Happy Bosses Day, Mr. Goss!  Cindy and I bought him some legal pads that have "sports" paper on the back.  So when you wad up the paper and toss it in the garbage can...it looks like a football, basketball, tennis ball, scoccer ball, etc.  His tie came from the M&M store in Las Vegas.  It has the M&M characters from the beginning to the present with a black background!

Day 289, Sunday, October 16

Now that is a really LARGE tool box! This semi trailer has been parked in the lot outside of the Ace hardware store.

Day 288, Saturday, October 15

We went to Rob and Cyndi's house for the annual fish fry this afternoon.  I didn't take many pictures, but this one of Stacie and me turned out pretty good.  We played hillbilly golf...I was the defending champion from last year (my partner didn't show up this year!), but I came in second place this year.  Great times with good food, family and friends!

Day 287, Friday, October 14

While I was in Vegas, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville was setting up a large margarita.  They were celebrating the opening of the casino.  Today, was the ceremony where they made the margarita.

I took this picture on monday in Vegas.  This is the ingredient list for the giant margarita!

Day 286, Thursday, October 13

I made a notebook for each of my friends as a gift for Spraguefest.  I altered a small notebook from Staples, by adding the Spraguefest logo, film strip ribbon, Tim Holtz' rosette, and some bling.  I added a gel pen, some beads on a ribbon as a book mark and some tabs.  The inside I added Ali Edwards photo stamp set.  I hope they liked it, because I had fun making them for everyone!  I also took dish cloths to share with them.

Day 285, Wednesday, October 12

Oh no!  A note from Nate!  Guess we weren't doing a very good job taking care of Winston.  Thanks for the reminder Nate!

Day 284, Tuesday, October 11

Today I flew home!  I was sad to leave Vegas, but excited to be going home.  I was nervous about changing planes, but I had plenty of time and found my "gate" and just planted myself there!  I got home around 8:45 p.m., and was happy to sleep in my own bed again!

Day 283, Monday, October 10

Today was the prize give away.  We went to the suite and had a wonderful time watching everyone receive a gift from Jessica.  Me, Kelly, Jessica, Pam, Bridget and Barbara!  It has been a wonderful 3 days and I have made some new friends.  I learned alot and learned that I have alot to learn! lol

Bridget loaded us into her car and we were off to the famous Las Vegas sign!

We went to the MGM hotel to see the lions.  I got my picture taken with Coco the 7 week old lion cub.  She was sooooo soft and friendly (well to the trainer!).

Next stop...M&M World.  We had so much fun taking pictures with all of the M&M statues.  We each took turns posing with all of the different colors.  We watched the movie...I lost my M in Vegas!  It was 3D and cute.  When we finished our shopping (and picture taking!), we went to Bridget's house were we got to meet her boys.  They are even cuter in person!  She made us lunch...which was awesome pasta!  Thanks for sharing your home and family with us for the day!

This is the Cleveland Clinic where they do research for Alzheimer's.  This building has a facade that resembles what happens to the brain when you develop Alzheimer's.

Day 282, Sunday, October 9

Bridget and I are working on a digital template...trying to get a few pictures added to a photo album that Jessica Sprague designed for us.  There is a lot more to digital scrapbooking than I ever imagined!

A little refreshment after class and before dinner.  But what happened to lunch...we just shared a volcano nachos!
We ate dinner at the Bellagio Buffet and walked to the Conservatory.  All of the flowers were just beautiful.  They change the displays for the different seasons.

We walked outside and watched the fountains!  I could stand there and watch them all night long.

At 8 p.m., we had a night photography class, taught by Candice Stringham.  I finally understand how to change the shutter speed and how to get night pictures with my Rebel!  There was a group of about 8 who walked together sharing our settings.  We walked down to the Mirage and watched the volcano erupt...using our newly learned knowledge to capture the lights on the strip!

We stopped at a little ice cream shop and shared this wonderful brownie sundae!  It was a great way to end an awesome day spent with my digital scrapbooking friends!

Day 281, Saturday, October 8

Our class began this morning at 9 a.m.  Carina Gardner taught us how to mix colors.  We painted a color wheel while she talked about color and how to use it in design.  We had a short break and Heidi Swapp taught us how to construct a mini album using hybrid scrapbook paper.  We used the bind it all to put it together.

We rode the city bus to the Neon Boneyard.  The Boneyard is where all of the old neon signs are stored from various Las Vegas casinos.  I had heard of the boneyard, but it was awesome to be able to walk around and photography the many old signs.  We learned about the history of Las Vegas from a very knowledgable volunteer tour guide!

After dinner, we went to the Elton John concert at Ceasar's Palace!  It was an  awesome concert and I could have listened to him play all night long!  Pam and Kelly were just as excited about the concert as I was.  This concert was Elton John's 3000th public concert.  We all got light sticks with a tag!

Day 280, Friday, October 7

Greetings from Las Vegas!  Today, I flew to Nevada to attend Spraguefest!  I met Kelly, Bridget and Pam at the reception.  We are going to learn digital scrapbooking techniques and digital photography.  I was so excited to meet Bridget...she lives in Las Vegas.  We all started doing Project 365 almost 3 years ago.  That is 365 pictures a year...one a day!

Day 279, Thursday, October 6

The leaves on the trees are changing colors!  This is my favorite time of the year.

Day 278, Wednesday, October 5

Peyton has decided to be a werewolf for Halloween this year.  He picked out this mask and gloves.  They are going to Goodwill to look for a flannel shirt and some jeans for me to "alter".

Day 277, Tuesday, October 4

I will be leaving on friday to fly to Vegas for Spraguefest.  One of the things we were invited to do...exchange Artist Trading Cards.  I had to make 75 ATC's to take with me.  Mine are very simple...that is why I am going to Spraguefest...to learn more about digital scrapbooking and digital photography!  They are done now and in the pile of stuff to go in my suitcase!  Next week, I hope to post of picture of all the cards I get in return!

Day 276, Monday, October 3

We met at Camille's for dinner tonight and our monthly Chirpin' Chicks card swap.  I usually post a picture of the cards...but since I haven't posted a picture of the "Chicks" lately....  Our challenge for this month was a "gift card holder".  Some were holiday, birthday and thank you!  I will post a picture of the cards...later in the week.

Day, 275, Sunday, October 2

Our garage is full of "stuff" for the bathroom remodel.  We spent the greater part of the day, with my dad's truck, running around and picking up the rest of the items we needed.  I hope Ryan will be calling soon to get this job done.  He promised to have it done before Thanksgiving!

Day 274, Saturday, October 1

John and Stacie had their 5th Annual McCormack Invitational today.  The tournament was all about playing the game "bags".  Jim, Nate, Stacie and I played a shortened version.  (My first 2 throws ended up in the bushes!  Oops! :))  Anyway, Jim and I won our game...much to the kids dismay!  The food was good and their friends had a great time.

Day 273, Friday, September 30

Our roof is all done!  Thanks, Ryan Bill for doing a great job!

Day 272, Thursday, September 29

Our mums are doing great!

Day 271, Wednesday, September 28

Nikki hosted another great card workshop tonight!  We had a choice of 3 cards included in the class fee.  We could make extras as time allowed for $2 each.  I got six of the 8 different cards done and I love them all!

Day 270, Tuesday, September 27

The shingles were delivered at 7 a.m.  The crew took the shingles off the pallet while it was suppended above our house.  When I got home at 4:45 this evening...everything was done!
