We went to see the movie Grown Ups 2. It was so hot again today and we were still tired from our trip. It was a funny movie. We didn't see the original Grown Ups, but we will have to rent it.

I went to the doctor this morning. I had some sort of sun poisoning from our vacation. On Tuesday, the top of my head felt tight. On Wednesday, there was a huge lump on my forehead. On Thursday, it was sliding between my eyebrows and down into my eyes. I called the doctor and he ordered meds for me. On Friday, it was on my eyelids and under my eyes.
Here is Jim checking in at the airport. We always go early so they can clear him. Jim Smith is the most used alias. Our flight left San Diego at 3:36 p.m. and we landed in Peoria at 12:15 a.m. It was sad to leave San Diego with it's 70 degree temperature, but it was good to be back home!
We rode the Coaster to Carlsbad this morning. It is a small beach town. We walked on the beach, again the ocean was so cold! We ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant. The ride was a little noisy, as it was opening day at the racetrack at Del Mar. We ate dinner at Marion's where we had crab cakes and fish tacos, again. While we were waiting for our dinner, there were tons of sailboats in the bay! It was beautiful to watch them! We watched the sun set again and walked back to our hotel.
We rode the trolley around town today. We had to get off the trolley at Old Town San Diego, so we walked around to see the sights. We finished the tour mid afternoon. Jim took a nap and I went to the pool. We boarded the trolley again and rode to Horton's Square. It is in the upper corner of the Historic Gas Lamp Quarter. We walked up and down the blocks, checking out the old buildings and bars and restaurants. We ate dinner at Bucci de beppo. We walked back to our hotel by the convention center where they were preparing for Comic Con.
We took a taxi to the San Diego Zoo. This is a picture of the fourth panda cub that the momma panda has raised. She has had 5 successful births. We ate dinner at a restaurant in Sea Port Village. We walked around the boardwalk and watched people while we were sitting on a bench eating ice cream.
We rode the ferry to Coronado Island and rode bikes to the Hotel Del Coronado. Walked along the beach, but the ocean was soooooo cold! We ate lunch on the island and rode the ferry back to San Diego. We ate dinner at the Fish Market and watched the sun set from our table.
We flew to San Diego this morning. Checked into our hotel, but the room wasn't ready, so we went to visit the Midway, which is permanently docked in the San Diego Bay. We walked through the ship for about 3 1/2 hours and didn't get but about half way through the audio tour. We walked back to the hotel and got our room. We ate dinner at Kansas City BBQ, across the street from our hotel. It is where the bar scene from the movie "Top Gun" was filmed.
We drove to Springfield to visit the Abraham Lincoln Museum. It was very interesting and we will be going back again! They don't allow you to take pictures inside the exhibits, but there are a few places that photos are allowed. This is me and the Lincoln Wax Family!
We went for a bike ride this afternoon. We stopped at Grandma Smith's and it started to rain. We rode over in the park to the bike path. We stopped at Our Inn to eat and it started to rain. We had to stop before we got home, because it started to rain. Jim was checking facebook while we waited for the rain to stop and we could finish our ride.
