Day 26, Tuesday, January 26, 2021

This is what our view is outside our door this morning.  We have missed most of the storm for the past few days.  It did continue to snow/ice but it wasn't as bad as was predicted.

Day 25, Monday, January 25, 2021

Jim helped me decorate the tree for Valentine's Day.  The ornaments on the right side are two of my favorite.  Mr. & Mrs. Frog with hearts for lips!  LOL

Day 24, Sunday, January 24, 2021

I was so surprised to see my name mentioned in the Scrapbook Generation Scrap Squad group. I completed this page as part of the 6X6 paper pad class.  It was a great class!

Day 23, Saturday, January 23, 2021

This makes me happy that Kellee and Lisa want to Zoom with me!

Day 22, Friday, January 22, 2021

This little guy is too smart for his own good.  Coco is such a good dog, even if he wants attention when he wants attention!

Day 21, Thursday, January 21, 2021

I like to use quotes like these because in years to come, we won't remember this exact day, this exact way.

Day 20, Wednesday, January 20, 2021

President Biden was sworn in today.  This is the first time in history there has been a female Vice President.

Day 19, Tuesday, January 19, 2021

Jim smoked the meatloaf for dinner!  Yep, we will have leftovers for several days.  Jim loves to have a cold meatloaf sandwich for lunch.

Day 18, Monday, January 18, 2021

Happy Birthday to my great niece, Lily!  I can't believe she is 2 already.  Love you!

Day 17, Sunday, January, 17, 2021

I had to stop and take a picture of the logs along the side of the drive at the Barn.  Mike cuts the trees down and cuts them into smaller pieces to feed the smoke house.

Day 16, Saturday, January 16, 2021

This is our crazy group for the weekend.  Lisa, Amy, Jenjo, Kellee and me!  So much fun, laughing and sharing stories until our face hurts!

Day 15, Friday, January 15, 2021

This is the window looking outside into the yard at the Barn.  It has ALWAYS snowed when we go to the Barn in January!  Let's hope it doesn't snow as much as it has in the past few years!

Day 14, Thursday, Janaury 14, 2021

I am so lucky to be able to go to the Barn Bed & Breakfast to spend the weekend scrapbooking!  I will be here for 4 days!

Day 13, Wednesday, January 13, 2021

When we came home from Costco this morning, there was an eagle sitting on this tree branch.  We went home and got my camera.  We came back to this spot on Route 29.  This eagle was still sitting in the tree.  Jim walked across the road to get a good photo!

Day 12, Tuesday, January 12, 2021

I have a huge mess at the desk!  I have been shredding old files from our taxes.  Apparently, I was behind 4 years!  Ugh!  What a messy job.

Day 11, Monday, January 11, 2021

We went to Wesley Road to look for eagles.  You can just barely see them in the tree towards the middle of the photo.  We did see a big nest in a tree a little ways down the road.  We think they come here because of the lock and dam.  The river is always open because of the lock and dam.

Day 10, Sunday, January 10, 2021

Jim changed the food and moved the bird feeders around in our yard.  We had a group of morning doves this morning.  They were just sitting on the roof of the garage for a very long time.

Day 9, Saturday, Janaury 9, 2021

Cindy, Pam, Lisa and I attended a scrapbook crop in Metamora.  It was a small group, but we enjoyed each others company!

Saturday, January 9, 2021

Day 8, Friday, January 8, 2021

The trees are still covered in snow and ice.  You can hear them pop and crack as the wind blows.  Usually, we don't see the trees covered in snow and ice for a week.  Most of the time, the sun melts the snow and ice off by afternoon.

Day 7, Thursday, January 7, 2021

We stopped in the park after our workout to get a picture with the trees in the background.  Jim walked around the lagoon on the sidewalk while I used the elliptical at Parkside.

Day 6, Wednesday, January 6, 2021

Jim and Stacie decided to go for a walk at Coal Miner's Park this afternoon.  Jim took several pictures of the ice and snow.  This was through the fence at the park.  They walked almost 2 miles.

Day 5, Tuesday, January 5, 2021

We let Coco outside for a bit.  It is still really cold.  Jim always shovels a grassy area for Coco to do his business.  Our porch light was on and made a very interesting contrast!

Day 4, Monday, January 4, 2021

On my way into Parkside, I stopped and took a photo of the bushes just outside the door.  I used portrait mode on my iphone.  The snow is still hanging on the trees!

Day 3, Sunday, January 3, 2021

The Pekin Park Pavilion and Lagoon are picture perfect with the snow and ice.

Sunday, January 3, 2021

Day 2, Saturday, January 2, 2021

Jim drove down Sheridan on his way home.  He stopped and took pics of the trees covered in ice.

Day 1, Friday, January 1, 2021

We woke up to the everything covered in ice.  While it is pretty on the trees, it isn't safe to be out and about on the roads.

Day 366, Thursday, December 31, 2020

This is our "charcuterie" tray for New Year's Eve!  It is just Jim and me so it is a smaller than last year arrangement.  I highly doubt we will be up to see 2021.

Day 365, Wednesday, December 30, 2020

This is how I feel about 2020.

Day 364, Tuesday, December 29, 2020

This is how much snow we got.  Most of it went north of us.  Thank goodness for that!

Day 363, Monday, December 28, 2020

We went to the park and removed the ornaments from the #Lymphona Is A Loser tree.

Day 362, Sunday, December 27, 2020

The weather is going to get really cold and snow/ice later this week.  We decided to take the lights and decorations off the outside of the house this morning.

Day 361, Saturday, December 26, 2020

Coco was definitely done with visitors.  He was asleep on the couch beside me just snoring!  We got the decorations inside taken down.

Day 360, Friday, December 25, 2020

Merry Christmas!  We all had a great day!

Day 359, Thursday, December 24, 2020

Stacie liked her Christmas gift.  We had a small group tonight, Scoot, Elaine, Austin, Stacie, Jim and me!

Day 358, Wednesday, December 23, 2020

This is the wrapping paper I used for Christmas this year.

Day 357, Tuesday, December 22, 2020

This is another quote I found recently.

Day 356, Monday, December 21, 2020

This is a photo from the Big Island, Hawaii.  The volcano has started to "erupt" again.  We visited Volcano National Park in July of 2017.  Hawaii and all the islands are amazing and I can't wait to go back!

Day 355, Sunday, December 20, 2020

Scott and Elaine went to visit Luke, Trisha and Lily.  We sent our gift with them for Lily.  She loved her baby shark cabbage patch baby!

Day 354, Saturday, December 19, 2020

Last night, Stacie and Lynn gave Evan and Jim new t-shirts!  They call themselves the "Wet Bandits" from the movie Home Alone.  Why you might ask... because they both have left the water running in the kitchen sink and walked away.  Jim has done this 4 times!!

Day 353, Friday, December 18, 2020

We watched the Trans Siberian Orchestra Concert virtually!  While it is definitely not the same as being there in person, it was still amazing!

Day 352, Thursday, December 17, 2020

I had to get my oil changed this morning.  I always take my Zentangle journal to work on.  I am not a good designer.... but I am a good copier!

Day 351, Wednesday, December 16, 2020

We drove through the Festival of Lights Winter Wonderland tonight.  It has been a few years since we went to this event.  After we got home, we watched the Great Christmas Light Fight.  East Peoria won the contest and received $50,000!

Day 350, Tuesday, December 15, 2020

I've been doing a lot of scrapbooking since I retired.  I bought the Simple Stories Vintage North Pole for my December Daily this year.  I have been following a couple of artists on Facebook.  This is my version of a layout I saw.  This is my great nephew meeting Santa at Macy's in New York in 2017.

Day 14, Monday, December 14, 2020

Jovie has been visiting this month.  She likes this new Doodlebug collection! LOL

Day 348, Sunday, December 13, 2020

Yummy cookies from the Curless family.  They didn't last long!

Day 347, Saturday, December 12, 2020

We went to a crop at Metamora.  We wore our masks while there were customers in the store.  While we were there, it started to snow, just briefly.  The wind was blowing the snow almost sideways.

Day 346, Friday, December 11, 2020

My scrapbooking friends usually get together for a night out during December.  We didn't think we would get to go this year, because of COVID.  Amy was able to get a reservation at the Canton movie theater.  There was 14 of us.  We had to take our own movie, which we chose The Polar Express.  We were able to sit far enough apart to social distance, even if we weren't in this photo, we were with our family.  It was a great night

Day 345, Thursday, December 10, 2020

Of course we laughed when we got this Christmas card!

Day 344, Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Do you see that single dot in the sky?  That is the space station.  It takes about 5 minutes for it to come into view and out of our view.  This happens every night and Jim usually goes out to see it.  I went with him tonight.

Day 343, Tuesday, December 8, 2020

This little 4 legged was crashed on the couch next to me.  We went up to school and walked in the hallway with the staff.  He hasn't gone for a puppy walk in a while because it is so cold outside.
