Day 80, Thursday, March 21, 2013

I bought the purple and green flowers and stuck them in the potting soil in the plant I have at school.  The students who take medicine at lunch always water my plants.  They thought the flowers grew over the weekend!  Sometimes I love my job!

Day 79, Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Cindy and I were talking about the bulbs that we planted last fall.  I think I put about 500 of them in the ground.  I checked tonight to see if any of them had started coming up, because Cindy said she had seen some of hers sprouting.  Sure enough, this is the beginning of some tulips out front!  I planted the right side down!

Day 78, Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Worked on my Zentangle at lunch today.  You can see some of the tiles I have finished at the top, one that I am working on at the left and the right one is my next tile...even if it is from Pinterest!

Day 77, Monday, March 18, 2013

John and Stacie bought Jim a Fitbit Zip for his birthday.  Stacie got one a few days ago, too.  Now there is a  big contest to see who gets the most steps in!

Day 76, Sunday, March 17, 2013

Today is Jim's 59th birthday.  We went to the Butterfly House and ate lunch with Pat and Jill at the Brick House this afternoon, in St Louis.  We got home and picked up Coco at the kennel.  We went to Kouri's for dinner.  Jim had corned beef and cabbage.  Today is John and Stacie's 6th Wedding Anniversary, too!

Day 75, Saturday, March 16, 2013

We drove to St Louis for a Blues hockey game this afternoon.  We met Jen and Amy after the game and drove them to their car.  Jimmy John's was giving out 3 inch sandwiches as we left the arena.  They had so many left, they shoved a box of sandwiches through the window of my car.  The girls took a bunch of them, we ate a few and left the rest at the front desk of our hotel.  It was a great night as the Blues won in overtime!

Day 74, Friday, March 15, 2013

Happy Birthday, Coco!  He is one year old.  I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  We love him so!

Day 73, Thursday, March 14, 2013

Our Pre-Kindergarten students were chasing a little green man, all over the school today!  Who was making these green footprints.  I think they caught him in the end!  And there was lots of gold coins, too!

Day 72, Wednesday, March 13, 2013

It was Crazy Hair day at school.  This little girl had her hair died, braided and pulled up into a pineapple shape.  There were lots of neon green heads of hair.

Day 71, Tuesday, March 12, 2013

My parents and I went to the Alzheimer's Association for the first support group meetings.  We found it very helpful in dealing with the early stages of Dementia that my mother is experiencing.

Day 70, Monday, March 11, 2013

This week is Spirit Week at school.  Today was Twin day, so Cindy and I wore our Rivermen Jersey's to school.

Day 69, Sunday, March 10, 2013

That darn Red Lobster commercial got us!  We had to go eat lunch there today.  Jim found a coupon on the internet for $10 off two dinners.  It was YUMMO!

Day 68, Saturday, March 9, 2013

This is the same tree that I took a photo of in the fall.  I am planning to do a Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter scrapbook page...someday!

Day 67, Friday, March 8, 2013

This photo has lived on the corner of my desk at work for MANY years.  We had this taken at Six Flags when the kids were in maybe 1st and 3rd grade.  I have an 8 x 10 in a frame in our family room, too, but it is the traditional sepia tone.  This was the proof and the photographer gave it to me because he scratched it (see the white spots).

Day 66, Thursday, March 7, 2013

The "Candy Man" showed up today and brought samples of all the bags that are in the new fund raising brochure.  Jay had shown us the brochure and said he was going to order some bags for us to see.  We were like kids in a candy store!  We love bags.  He let us choose one to keep.  Cindy and I are holding ours and the rest of the shapes, patterns and sizes of bags are in front of us!  Thanks, Candy Man!

Day 65, Wednesday, March 6, 2013

Jill came to visit and surprised Gram for her birthday, today!  Happy Birthday, Grandma Smith!

Day 64, Tuesday, March 5, 2013

My friend, Debbie, who lives in Nebraska, recently started selling Origami Owl Jewelry.  I ordered my necklace on line through my friend Amy's party.  I received my package today and I love it!  I can't wait to get some other charms to add to my necklace.  I bought the "changed" tag for two reasons.  First, it is a Rascal Flatts promotion and second because I have "changed for the better" in my life.  Losing 80 pounds and setting a routine of exercise daily.

Day 63, Monday, March 4, 2013

I worked on this Zentangle during my lunch for the past couple of days.  I enjoy doing the art work and it relaxes me before I head back up the hill to finish my work day.

Day 62, Sunday, March 3, 2013

We went to Granite City to eat brunch with John and Stacie this morning.  This sculpture is on the river front near the entrance to the restaurant.

Day 61, Saturday, March 2, 2013

Cody and Aly spent the evening in Chicago at the Bulls game.  We watched it on TV and hoped to see them.  We didn't, but they had a great time!

Day 60, Friday, March 1, 2013

I made this card to send to our family with "live for life" lymphoma arm bands to support John in his fight with Lymphoma.

Day 59, Thursday, February 28, 2013

Jim bought me a Fitbit for Christmas.  I have walked 250 miles since December 27!
