Day 59, Tuesday, February 28, 2023

Today is the last day of February.  Why does January seem like it is about 100 days long?  Tomorrow is March 1!  This sunset was just beautiful!

Day 58, Monday, February 27, 2023

This puzzle was just 300 pieces so it was easy to do.  I switched out the card table.  That navy table was hard to see the pieces.  This white one is much better.

Day 57, Sunday, February 26, 2023

I finished this car puzzle this evening.  On to the next one!

Day 56, Saturday, February 25, 2023

Gram was so happy Stacie came to visit!  Stacie quizzed her about whos birthday was coming up next month.  She said it was her birthday and she was going to be 96!  Maybe I'll try to make it to 100!

Day 55, Friday, February 24, 2023

Today starts fish Friday for Lent.  Jim just loves those McDonald's fish sandwiches.... not my favorite!

Day 54, Thursday, February 23, 2023

We have lots of squirrels and birds in our yard, because Jim feeds them.  Imagine my surprise when this hawk was sitting on the back fence today!  He stayed there for about 15 minutes.  I was able to open up the back door and get a couple of pictures before he finally flew away.

Day 53, Wednesday, February 22, 2023

Jim and I both got certificate of achievement for Silver Sneakers!  His was for 100 visits and mine was for 50.  I don't see how they are counting, since I have been going more than he has, but anyway, we keep moving and that helps to keep us healthy!

Day 52, Tuesday, February 21, 2023

I started this project to help with storage for my Distress Inks.  Layle By Mail, showed this on her website a few weeks ago.  I won't be able to finish it until I get some new sponge daubers...they are on the way!

Day 51, Monday, February 20, 2023

Tonight, we met at the Barn III, for a Quarter Auction to benefit Eureka Women's Basketball team. Lisa wanted all of us to get together for her birthday (she knew nothing about the surprise party last Friday! LOL!) We had fun laughing and spending quarters on stuff we didn't need!

Day 50, Sunday, February 19, 2023

We have been hockey fans for many, many years!  Today, we watched our friend, Corbie Clark, who is the captain of Pekin High School Dragons Hockey team, win the State Championship!  It was an awesome game!

Day 49, Saturday, February 18, 2023

Shrimp in the air fryer is the bomb!

Day 48, Friday, February 17, 2023

Happy Birthday to my friend, Lisa.  We surprised her with a party!  She will be 60 in a few days!  She was totally surprised!

Day 47, Thursday, February 16, 2023

Puzzle #3 is on the table!  This one has 750 pieces.  I bought the puzzle sorter boxes a few years ago when Nate was living with us after he had surgery.  I think those shallow ones are the best.  I am going to go back to Hobby Lobby to see if they have any more.

Day 46, Wednesday, February 15, 2023

I finished this 1000 piece puzzle!  After the first of this year, I made a commitment to myself, to work on a puzzle for an hour after we eat dinner.  I spend too much time on my phone and ipad.  This is the second puzzle I have finished, but this was a beast!

Day 45, Tuesday, February 14, 2023

This is the front and inside of my Valentine's Day card from Jim!  I was today years old when I learned Jim knows all of the scrabble tiles letters and points by heart!!  WHAT???  I have know this man for 49 years and I never knew this piece of information!

Day 44, Monday, February 13, 2023

I was so happy to see the clear blue sky and all those buds on our neighbors tree.  We live in Central Illinois, so I'm not getting my hopes up that Spring is on its way, yet!  (That groundhog DID see its shadow 11 days ago!)

Day 43, Sunday, February 12, 2023

I did this shadow box project using Simple Stories Vintage Winter Woods for my friend Lisa.  She has a business called "Crafting Auntie" and she has be do projects for her Facebook channel.

Day 42, Saturday, February 11, 2023

When I got the ladder out, Jim just looked at me and said "are you going to need help?", well, yes, I do!  We took all the "things" off the shelves, dusted, cleaned and reorganized them.  I can't remember the last time we did that job, but it looks sooooo much better!

Day 41, Friday, February 10, 2023

I don't know what this girl is doing, but she's got a hammer and safety glasses on!  My oh my, her great grandpa would be so happy right now!

Day 40, Thursday, February 9, 2023

This morning was the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony of the North Pekin, Amazon distribution center.  This building has been vacant for a while.  They did a lot of work outside the building to allow for semi's and parking.

Day 39, Wednesday, February 8, 2023

Jim asked me if I wanted to go to Dick Blick in Galesburg!  Why yes I do!  It was a nice drive to and from and I got some great supplies!

Day 38, Tuesday, February 7, 2023

Monday evening we had our card swap at Jason's Deli.  My friends do NOT disappoint when it comes to cardmaking!

Monday, February 6, 2023

Day 37, Monday, February 6, 2023

This was a surprise post on Facebook from our nephew and his wife.  Another great "baby" is coming in  August!  Congratulations!

Day 36, Sunday, February 5, 2023

I worked all afternoon to complete this 16x20 collage frame for my Sister-in-law, Cyndi.  This was a trip to Florida in November of 2022.  Her sister has been fighting cancer for a few years, so they wanted to do a girls trip to the ocean.

Day 35, Saturday, February 4, 2023

We enjoyed our monthly crop at Timeless Treasure Market.  I worked on finishing the layouts from my class last weekend from Vicki Boutin, Print Shop.  We had lunch from Biscuits & Gravy.  Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwiches with chips and warm chocolate chip cookies!

Day 34, Friday, February 3, 2023

These are the purses that will be in the auctions this week at Timeless Treasure Market (top 3) and Picker's Daughter (bottom 3), supporting Illinois CancerCare through Totes for Ta-Ta's.

Day 33, Thursday, February 2, 2023

Phil, the ground hog, is NOT my favorite, today.  Six more weeks of winter!  UGH!  Today is also the 30th anniversary of the movie with Bill Murray, "Ground Hog Day".

Day 32, February 1, 2023

Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang are always my favorite.  Being Happy is always a good idea!

Day 31, Tuesday, January 31, 2023

We went to "Taco Tuesday" for lunch!  $1.00 each for a corn, beef, lettuce and cheese taco!  Yes, please!

Day 30, Monday, January 30, 2023

We have been watching this pair of Eagles from Big Bear Valley on an Eagle Cam.  Jackie and Shadow are their names.  They are sitting on 2 eagle eggs at this time.  These photos show the physical difference in the male and female.  Jackie is on the left and Shadow on the right.

Day 29, Sunday, January 29, 2023

I can't believe how full this album is!  I don't have any photos in it yet and it is a 3" binder!

Day 28, Saturday, January 28, 2023

Today is the album class for Print Shop from Vicki Boutin.  The video ended up being 10 hours and 15 minutes.  I still had hours of work left to embellish all the pages.  I love her collections, so I always have to do the class, too!

Day 27, Friday, January 27, 2023

We have been hungry for soup, so I made Zuppa (copycat) from Pinterest.

Day 26, Thursday, January 26, 2023

It has been over 20 years since I have been able to go up and down the stairs left, right, left, right.  Since I had my knee replacement surgery, I am finally able to use the steps in a normal fashion.  I still need to hold onto the railing for security, but I could probably do it without a death grip.
