Day 13, Thursday, January 13, 2022

This little cartoon is just makes me happy!  Creating cards or scrapbooking or art journaling makes me Happy!

Day 12, Wednesday, January 12, 2022

Lisa and I met for lunch.  She had some supplies for me and there is a possibility that our crop will be cancelled again on Saturday.  Since the weather cooperated today, I went to Timeless Treasure Market to restock our Totes Boutique purses/bags.

Day 11, Tuesday, January 11, 2022

We have been cleaning cabinets and closets since the first of the year.  I had to restock a few things that had expired.

Day 10, Monday, January 10, 2022

This is the hydrangeas bush at Parkside.  It still has snow on it from the snow we got on January 1.  The individual leaves are still on the bush.

Day 9, Sunday, January 9, 2022

Lisa, Teresa and I deicided to Zoom, today.  We cancelled our crop because the weather was supposed to turn bad in the afternoon.  At least I still got to spend a couple of hours with my girlfriends!

Day 8, Saturday, Janaury 8, 2022

We have the most clever squirrels, ever!  They should not be able to get the bird food from the feeders, but they always, do!

Day 7, Friday, January 7, 2022

The temperature today is a high of 14 degrees and a low of -5 degrees.  Oh how I hate the cold weather!  More than likely our crop for Saturday will be cancelled, too!  UGH!

Day 6, Thursday, Janaury 6, 2022

Mrs. Bones is all dressed up for the New Year!

Day 5, Wednesday, January 5, 2022

Trisha sent me this adorable photo of Lily wearing the jacket we got her for Christmas.  She may be the only toddler who is excited about clothes!

Day 4, Tuesday, January 4, 2022

This Is Us.  I don't watch a lot of TV, but this is one series I have not missed an episode of in 5 seasons.  The 6th and final season has started.  If I was still working, I'm pretty sure I would have needed this excuse!

Day 3, Monday, January 3, 2022

Stacie bought Jim and I a Furbo for Christmas.  We had always wondered what Coco is doing when we are gone.  Now we can see where he is, we can talk to him and send him a treat.  It only took him a couple of tries to figure out the noise and where the treat was coming from!

Day 2, Sunday, Janaury 2, 2022

Stacie got me a new Rae Dunn Hot Cocoa mug, so I had to try it out for the new year!

Day 1, Saturday, January 1, 2022

Of course, we had to start 2022 with snow! I took several pictures during the day from the time it started snowing until Jim went down the driveway with his new snow blower.

Day 365, Friday, December 31, 2021

Happy New Year's Eve.  We were in bed by 10:00 this year.  We ate some soup and I made a small charcuterie board.  I can't believe I have been retired for 2 years.  I can't believe how much Covid has changed our lives in the last 2 years.  I can't believe I have taken and journaled about 4,745 or so pictures over the last 13 years.  Tomorrow starts year 14.  Let's hope next year we will be able to travel a bit!

Day 364, Thursday, December 30, 2021

I went to see Cindy and took her present to her.  We ate at Jason's Deli for lunch.  I told her I bought an air fryer a couple of weeks ago.  When I got home i made crab stuffed mushrooms and sweet peppers.  They are so good in the air fryer.

Day, Wednesday, December 29, 2021

We went to the Festival of Lights tonight.  We went early before it was open.  We only waited about 10 minutes.

Day 362, Tuesday, December 28, 2021

I bought this huge pack of Twizzlers for Jim for Christmas.  But I forgot to give it to him.  So he got it today!

Day 361, Monday, December 27, 2021

Jim and I took this selfie on Christmas morning before everyone got here!

Day 360, Sunday, December 26, 2021

Jim and I packed up all the Christmas decorations during the day.  I put the snowmen out while Jim took his afternoon nap.

Day 359, Saturday, December 25, 2021

It was just the 6 of us for Christmas morning.  Peyton and Rob were sick (not Covid) and Cyndi didn't want to get anyone else sick, either.  We had our usual ham, egg, and cheese croissants, monkey bread and opened gifts.

Day 358, Friday, December 24, 2021

We had a small group tonight for the Smith family Christmas.  We opened our gifts after everyone left.

Day 357, Thursday, December 23, 2021

We stopped at the Curlesses to drop off presents for the kids.  Evan wasn't home, but as soon as he got there, he went and put on his Wet Bandits t-shirt!

Day 356, Wednesday, December 22, 2021

This is a pile of the Christmas cards I have left this year.  I sent them around the first of the month.  I hope I can go back to my usual method of making cards for Christmas next year.  I had limited movement this year with my shoulder surgery.

Day 355, Tuesday, December 21, 2021

Peanuts is my favorite cartoon character.  Specifically Snoopy, then Woodstock...  We always watch A Charlie Brown Christmas during December.  This year is the last year it will be shown on public TV.  Apple bought the rights for it and will be shown on their network only, next year.

Day 354, Monday, December 20, 2021

I had to go get a check-up at the Dr. this afternoon for my shoulder.  He said I was doing great.  We stopped at 5 Guys to eat lunch.  Man, those burgers are so messy!  Once you pick it up and start eating, you don't want to put it down and make a mess!  So good!

Day 353, Sunday, December 19, 2021

We sat Coco in this wicker sleigh that i have had for many years.  I usually put stuffed animals in it for Christmas.  I had to see if I could get his picture in the sleigh.  I did, but the 12 other out takes are hilarious!

Day 352, Saturday, December 18, 2021

Lily was thanking Uncle Jim for the present.  She had to put on the t-shirt we got for her, right away!  We also gave her a game.  If you look close, you can see the foot of the stuffed bunny we got her a couple of years ago.  She carries it everywhere.

Day 351, Friday, December 17, 2021

Our sweet little great niece Lily is back in town!  She sure keeps her Grandpa and Granny hopping when she comes to visit!

Day, 350, Thursday, December 16, 2021

Jim and I went to the cemetery this morning to put some decorations on the niches for John and my Mom.  Jim went the other day to put the hanging decoration for his Dad.

Day 349, Wednesday, December 15, 2021

I couldn't pass this meme up!  Santa with his Elfie Stick! LOL

Day 348, Tuesday, December 14, 2021

This is one of the houses in Morton.  They have added music to this display.  You can listen to it on an FM station during the month.  They also have a go fund me for the grade school choir.

Day 347, Monday, December 13, 2021

Christmas Vacation is probably our favorite holiday movie of all time.  We usually watch it several times during the month of December.  We have many ornaments featuring movies of Chevy Chase.  This year, I put them all together to create a little display.

Day 346, Sunday, December 12, 2021

We like to watch holiday movies during the month of December.  Tonight we watched "Elf".  It is definitely one of our favorites.

Day 345, Saturday, December 11, 2021

Lily was enjoying their first snow of the year!

Day 344, Friday, December 10, 2021

Mrs. Bones has changed into Mrs. Claus, I believe!

Day 343, Thursday, December 9, 2021

The geese in the park are always on the road.  They do not move quickly.  They don't care if you honk.  They just take their time and move when they want to.

Day 342, Wednesday, December 8, 2021

Coco is so funny.  He knows when a package comes for him.  He will sit and stare at it or sniff it until we move it and put it away!

Day 341, Tuesday, December 7, 2021

Jim and I drove out to Washington to see the Griswold House from Christmas Vacation.  Andy does a great job lighting up the neighborhood for the month of December.

Day 340, Monday, December 6, 2021

Linda, Jackie, Kim, Cindy and I met at Panera in East Peoria to exchange Christmas Gifts.  We have been swapping cards together for many years.  There are a few other friends who couldn't come tonight, so we did miss them.  It was good to see everyone!

Day 339, Sunday, December 5, 2021

Lisa, Amy and I went to the Nativity Festival at a church in Peoria.  There were hundreds of Nativity scenes assembled.  One of the collections came from Iowa.  It took over 200 hours to set it all up.  We ate lunch at Portillo's and talked for about 2 hours!

Day 338, Saturday, December 4, 2021

This picture was taken by Jim at the lagoon in Pekin.  The water was so still, it looked like a mirror image.

Day 337, December 3, 2021

Stacie and I went to the quarter auction at Rankin School.  Evan and Elizabeth go to school here.  This event was a fundraiser for the student council.  Both of the kids are members of student council.  It was a fun event for all of us.

Day 336, Thursday, December 2, 2021

I always like to figure these days out.  However, this only works for the ambigram if the numbers are printed digitally.  If you handwrite them, it isn't readable upside down.

Day 335, Wednesday, December 1, 2021

We stopped at One World Cafe to eat lunch.  We had been out doing some shopping.  We haven't been here in a very long time.  We really enjoyed our food!

Day 334, Tuesday, November 30, 2021

Jim has put all the bird feeders out in the backyard.  This one is squirrel proof.  Some of them are not.  Those squirrels will hang upside down to get into the feeders and eat the bird food.

Day 333, Monday, November 29, 2021

This is our holiday photo with the Grinch!  Coco was such a good boy and wasn't afraid of the Grinch at all.  Merry Christmas!

Day 332, Sunday, November 28, 2021

The park district has put Christmas trees around the edge of the road for many years. Some are sponsored by businesses.  Some are in loving memory of those who have passed.  Each one can be decorated.  The park district provides the lights on all the trees.  It is beautiful in the evening with them all lit.

Day 331, Saturday, November 27, 2021

The sunset has outdone itself this evening.  I love to see the bright colors in the sky and the silhouette of the trees in the foreground.

Day 330, Friday, November 26, 2021

We always decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.  We put the small tree upstairs in the corner and decorated around it.

Day 329, Thursday, November 25, 2021

Our Thanksgiving was small again, this year.  Covid is still dictating how many people we have. I always make everyone fill out a "thankful/grateful" card before they can eat dessert.  I make a mini book for the day.  It is really fun to look back over the years and see what everyone is thankful for.
