This is the only tag that Tim demonstrated today. He has done such an awesome job teaching all of these techniques. I have 25 technique tags and I am so happy to have learned how to do them all. Some I will repeat often, I am sure...some I might not try again.

Day 90, Friday, March 30, 2012
We went to the Auto Show with John and Stacie tonight. (And then to Flat Top Grill for dinner! Yummo!) Of course, I had to have my picture with a character...the Hamstar! And he could dance, too!
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 9
Today's lesson was all about Perfect Pearls. I haven't used my perfect pearls much, but it was fun to learn a three different ways to use the powder. These tags are very shiny in real life!
Day 89, Thursday, March 29, 2012
This is all that is left of the English building and old Gym at West Campus. There has been a group of citizens who are trying to keep the old building from ending up like this. This property was sold to a private owner after the high school built a new addition to East Campus and closed West Campus. Nate was a sophmore and walked from West to East in the rain in the Spring of 2000, ending the last classes that where held on West Campus.
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 8
Day 8 tags had to dry overnight. These techniques can not be dried with the heat gun. It was a ton of fun working on the sticky back canvas. That butterfly is grungeboard with Rock Candy crackle paint and distress stains! AWESOME!

Day 88, Wednesday, March 28, 2012
These are the PBIS awards for the students at school. Each quarter they receive an award pin and get to participate in a special activity if they earn enough "paws". We made about 800 of those Tim Holtz rosettes, punched a paw print and circle for each pin, glued ribbon and a pin on the back. The kids are very proud of their achievements!
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 7 tags
These tags were really fun and quick to do. It is all about embossing and how it all works together. I like to emboss, but I don't use that technique often. Thinking I will change that!
Day 87, Tuesday, March 27, 2012
I've been working as hard as I can on the tags for my Creative Chemistry Class with Tim Holtz. My fingers are inky and I like it!
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 6 tags
Tim Holtz has new Distress Markers. I don't have any of them, so I used my Stampin' Up markers. While I am sure they don't blend as well as Tim's markers do, I tried to follow his instructions and I feel like I did okay. I do love the middle tag. I used the specialty stamping paper from Ranger. That stuff is pretty awesome!
Day 86, Monday, March 26, 2012
This is the flower blossom from the other day. Over the weekend, two of the "pods" popped open. I love spring time when the flowers are blooming!
Day 85, Sunday, March 25, 2012
I have been driving through the park everyday as I go to Parkside to exercise. I pass these three trees and I think they are so pretty, white, purple and green! Beautiful!
Day 84, Saturday, March 24, 2012
We had tickets for the hockey game tonight. It was free food night. Everyone got a small drink, hot dog and a twinkie. Of course, I had to get my picture with "Twinkie the Kid"!
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 5 tags
Today we used the Distress Stains. That bottle of Picket Fence is the best thing since sliced bread! I loved making that paper look like marble under the bird.
Day 83, Friday, March 23, 2012
Happy Birthday, Peyton! He is 10 years old today. (can't believe it!) He picked out the Extreme Chocolate Blizzard Cake for his birthday. Uncle Jim was teasing him about needing a fire extinguisher to put out all those candles. Peyton told him, "Nobody wants foam on their ice cream!"
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 4 tags
I loved working on the tag on the left. I don't have many re-inkers (gotta get some of those!), but it is fun to play and see what I can use instead. Tim Holtz is such an awesome teacher. I could listen to him talk about inky stuff all day long!
Day 82, Thursday, March 22, 2012
I am not a flower person, but this one is blooming and I don't know what it is. The kids at school water it when they take their medicine. Can't wait to see how big it is on monday!
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Day 3 Tags
I really liked working on these tags! I don't use my supplies enough. Can't wait to see what Tim has for us tomorrow!
Day 81, Wednesday, March 21, 2012
Think I finally got my ducks in a row! lol No, really I used punches to create these ducks for my Easter cards!
Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Day 2 Tags
Day 2 tags. I tried several times to get the watercolor tag (you can see all of my attempts in the background of this picture). For some reason, I kept getting mud. So, I walked away and came back later and think I got it!
Day 79, Monday, March 19, 2012
I registered for the Creative Chemistry 101 on line class that Tim Holtz is teaching. Today was the beginning of the explanation of ink and the "chemistry" behind it. I can't wait to get my hands inky!
Day 78, Sunday, March 18, 2012
Backyard Safari, that's my nephew Jordan. Of course, he was digging for dinosaur bones. I don't think he is going to find any bones in his sandy beach on the river, but a guy has to look doesn't he?
Day 77, Saturday, March 17, 2012
Happy Birthday, Jim! It is St. Patrick's Day so we went to Kouri's tonight and he had corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and of course, green beer! He got his birthday present today, a new ipad!
Day 76, Friday, March 16, 2012
My hair isn't long enough to do anything "crazy" with it. I just spiked it like I normally do! However, several of the staff had fun arranging their hair for "Crazy Hair" day. This has been a fun week for the students and all of the staff!
Day 75, Thursday, March 15, 2012
Sports Day! This was a favorite day for many of us! Of course, there is a big contest between the Cards and Cubs! lol Cindy and I work our hockey gear. I wore my Snoopy and Woodstock hockey shirt...Snoopy is driving the Zamboni!
Wednesday, March 14, 2012
Day 74, Wednesday, March 14, 2012
Today was twin day. As you can see, Cindy and I dressed alike or rather "opposite" of each other. We have the same shirt in different colors, so we wore opposites and said we weren't identical twins, we were fraternal twins! lol
Day 73, Tuesday, March 13, 2012
Yep, that's the hat I wore today...for about 20 minutes! Today was hat day and I just borrowed Jim's hat and only wore it for a short time...it lived on my desk the rest of the day!
Day 72, Monday, March 12, 2012
This is spirit week at school. Today was mismatch day. This is one sorry group of mismatched ladies!
Day 71, Sunday, March 11, 2012
We went to breakfast this morning at the Harvest Cafe. This restaurant is in Delavan and is famous for it's "Farm to Table" meals. Most of the food that is served in the dining room, is grown locally and made in the kitchen of this cafe. We have been here one other time for breakfast. We hope to go back soon for dinner!
Day 70, Saturday, March 10, 2012
We invited the family over for hamburgers on the grill tonight. We had a great time hanging out with everyone. We don't do that often enough. My great niece, Saige is just the cutest little girl! She is so petite and such a little lady, well...until she gets tired! Oh boy! I miss seeing her and will have to try harder to get together with everyone!
Day 69, Friday, March 9, 2012
I wore my new Marquette Tiger shirt today! I had 4 new shirts made this week. I really like the way the shirts turned out!
Day 68, Thursday, March 8, 2012
I have been going to therapy for my wrist since December. I hit it on the door in February and had a major set back with the pain level. I tried this drug on tuesday during therapy and it really helped my wrist. I picked up my own prescription today and will receive treatment again. I am hoping this will get me pain free, soon!
Day 67, Wednesday, March 7, 2012
If you look closely, you will see the sign in the middle of the board that proclaims the new bulletin board contents would be coming soon! I guess the other second grade teachers couldn't wait for Mrs. Goeken to finish her projects. This morning, all of the waste construction paper was stapled to her "coming soon" board!
Day 66, Tuesday, March 6, 2012
Happy Birthday, Grandma Smith! Today is Jim's momma's 85th birthday day! We stopped to see her after she got home from dinner with Austin and Elaine. She had a very busy day celebrating her birthday. (Jim is in the POTD, again! lol)
Day 65, Monday, March 5, 2012
We went to Rubber Rainbows for a Glitter class tonight. Margaret taught us how to use the peel off stickers, glitter and copic markers to make some glittery images. It was lots of fun and everyone had a great time. I was very happy that I didn't spill the glitter!
Sunday, March 4, 2012
Day 64, Sunday, March 4, 2012
We went to Sam's today. They had lots of things out for Easter. I loved these stuffed animals! They are about 4 foot long. There was several different animals. But an alligator for Easter? I don't know about that!
Day 63, Saturday, March 3, 2012
Pinterest has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit. I like to search for cards on the pinterest boards. I even surf on my iphone!
Day 62, Friday, March 2, 2012
Happy Birthday, Dr. Suess! One of our first grade classes celebrated his birthday by wearing Cat in the Hat, hats! They also read a Dr. Suess book to the kindergarten students. This morning one of our local news personalities came and read a Dr. Suess book to them. They also had birthday cake!
Day 61, Thursday, March 1, 2012
Poor Winston has been so sick this week. He has been vomiting for the past two days. His skin is really red and now his right eye has the cherry eye. I tried to get some benadryl in him, but he didn't even want the cheese this morning. He did eat a little tonight. Hope I don't have a mess in the morning!
Day 60, Wednesday, February 29, 2012
I made this card for Leap Day. I colored the frog with my new copic markers. It was fun to do. I sent the cards and forgot to sign them! Oh boy, did Stacie and Nate love that! Anyway, it was the thought that counts.
Day 59, Tuesday, February 28, 2012
We went to see the play "South Pacific" tonight! It was a great performance at the Civic Center. I didn't know what the story line was until I looked it up. I loved the music from the play. We really enjoyed the evening!
Day 58, Monday, February 27, 2012
Our Pre-K is always inspiration for picture of the day. Today, they drew pictures and told the teacher what job they would have when they grew up!
