We had a great day today! Love the card that the staff all signed for me and the "paw" necklace that I can wear with my "tiger" shirt! My boss gave me a gift card to go out to dinner and the Parents Club gave me a gift certificate to Scrapadoodle!

Day 115, Tuesday, April 24, 2012
Mr. Dickson took us out for lunch today for Adminstrative Assistants Professionals Day. We went to Olive Garden. We had a relaxing lunch away from school! He thanked us for all of our hard work and dedication to our school district.
Day 114, Monday, April 23, 2012
I have been going to Weight Watchers since August 8, 2011. I have been struggling to lose weight for the past few weeks. I am not cheating or over my points for the week, have been getting my good health guidelines covered, using my points for the right foods and getting at least 5 days of exercise 40-60 minutes a day. I have lost and gained and can't figure out why. I am keeping my head up and continuing following the plan because I know this is the best thing for me!
Day 113, Sunday, April 22, 2012
I have been working on cards for the past couple of weeks. I don't know, I just want to make cards. And well, I needed some new stuff in my stash of cards. I like to make 4 of the same design and just change the occasion. Be surprised if you get one of these cards! I used the bird punch (the wing) to make these flower buds. I am so tired of punching that bird!!
Day 112, Saturday, April 21, 2012
Every time I let my blanket touch the floor...guess who thinks it might be his? Yep, Winston! If there is a small little corner of my blanket touching the floor, he will work and work until he can sit his gassy self on it!
Day 111, Friday, April 20, 2012
This purple flowers are in bloom in my neighbors yard. I don't know what kind of flowers they are, but they are purple and very pretty!
Day 110, Thursday, April 19, 2012
I got to take a class tonight from Stacey DeWid, who is a Freelance Crafting Industry Educator & Designer for Tattered Angels. She taught two classes today and I wish I could have taken the first one this afternoon, But I had to work :( Anyway, this class was so much fun. I sprayed ink and glitter mist all over the place and had a blast doing it! There is something very satisfying about watching a natural colored flower embellishment turn into a very beautiful blossom! I could have worked all night!
Day 109, Wednesday, April 18, 2012
What a nice surprise this potted plant was! One of our parents brought Cindy and me a nice little planter today. Just because she thinks we are nice. Well, we are nice...I got the purple one and Cindy got the green one!
Day 108, Tuesday, April 17, 2012
When I got to work today, this box of Spudnuts was sitting on the table in the lounge. Actually, there were two of them! In the past, I would have helped myself and not even thought about it. I can't even imagine how many Weight Watcher points one donut is!?! I didn't have one and really didn't want one either!
Day 106, Sunday, April 15, 2012
This is a group picture we took on the grounds of Menno Haven Camp. It was an awesome weekend spent creating with friends, old and new! I hope I get to do this again with this group of serious crafters! Thanks for inviting me, Nikki and thanks to everyone who made this such a wonderful weekend!
Day 105, Saturday, April 14, 2012
Nikki and I have been friends for several years. She lives down the street from me and sells Stampin' Up! She is a very creative person and I enjoyed rooming with her and sharing the day creating cards and chatting. Becky, Wendy and Kellee were at this retreat, too! The rest of the girls (there were 16 in all) were former Paper Moon customers and have continued to scrap together after the store closed.
Day 104, Friday, April 13, 2012
After work tonight, I left for a scrapbook retreat at Menno Haven Camp. I have never been here before, but am looking forward to a great weekend of scrapbooking and spending time with my friends!
Day 103, Thursday, April 12, 2012
Today the fire department conducted the annual controlled burn of the Native Illinois Prairie Grass.
Day 102, Wednesday, April 11, 2012
I am going to a scrapbook retreat on friday night. I will have 3 days to do nothing but create! I can't wait to spend some time with my scrappin' buddies and to meet some new friends. I pre-planned to make the cards for my Chirpin' Chicks card swap. I made one of each card and gathered the supplies, making kits to make all of these cards (and lots of other ones, too).
Day 101, Tuesday, April 10, 2012
I finished the 2011 12 tags of Christmas by Tim Holtz. I love to try his techniques. I didn't have all the supplies to make the tags exactly like he did, but I got close! I have made the tags for the past 3 years and want to go back and complete the tags for 2007 and 2008. He recently announced that he was retiring the "12 tags of Christmas" and starting a monthly tag challenge. I can't wait!
Day 100, Monday, April 9, 2012
Good morning my darling, Saige! Isn't she just about the cutest little girl you have ever seen? I took her Easter Bucket to her today. She was trying to fit in the bucket! She is the happiest little girl. Look at all those teeth in her mouth! She carried that bucket all around the house and filled it up with toys and dumped it about a million times. Love you bunches, Saige!
Day 99, Sunday, April 8, 2012
Happy Easter Morning! I made waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast this morning. Stacie, John, Nate, Jim and I were full of breakfast. We skipped lunch today! (notice the Starbucks cup, too!)
Day 98, Saturday, April 7, 2012
We had our Easter Egg Hunt tonight! There were 58 eggs for two little boys to find. Well, there were 59, but we had an unexpected egg hunter. He was a very friendly squirrel, who stole and egg, broke it open and tried to eat the candy! And I was standing about 3 feet from him. I chased him off and he came right back and tried to get another egg. We had the kids run around and gather up the eggs before he could come back. We ate sub sandwiches, chips, fruit & dip and veggies & dip. I love spending time with my family!

Day 97, Friday, April 6, 2012
I took this picture of these birds at Petsmart. They were preening each other and stopped, looked at me as if they were posing for the picture and went back to preening!
Day 96, Thursday, April 5, 2012
Peyton came to stay with me today. We played games, went to Hobby Lobby and Walmart and ate lunch at Subway. I won the game of Farkle...today. I don't always!
Day 95, Wednesday, April 4, 2012
I have made about 8 of these baby books recently. I cut the books out of chipboard with a die at Scrapadoodle. Each month, is labeled for a picture of the baby. One page for each month including the birth. At the end of the year, there is a complete album showing how much the baby has grown in a year!
Day 94, Tuesday, April 3, 2012
Cindy and I went to Scrapadoodle last saturday. They had these Easter animals on display. I hope to make a few of them...probably next year! lol

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012
Yesterday, Tim Holtz posted his April "12 Tags of 2012", I got busy and made the tag on the left, as I didn't have the bird and branch die that he used. I used some of the techniques that I learned in the Creative Chemistry 101 class (which was AWESOME!). After I was finished with the tag, I looked in the gallery on his blog and was reminded of the bird in the cage die, which I DO have. So this morning, I had to run to Hobby Lobby (using the coupon from my iphone! lol) and buy the distress embossing powder in brown so I could make the bird tag.
Since I was all inky, I made the February and March tag, too. Again, it was so much fun to be able to use the techniques from the Creative Chemistry 101 class with confidence!
Day 92, Sunday, April 1, 2012
This morning, Jim and I were reading the newspaper. He picked up his new IPad and showed me this app he has. It takes a divides the screen into 9 different blocks. Each one has a different "effect". He can also use the camera to take a picture using the whole screen.
Day 91, Saturday, March 31, 2012
We went to the hockey game tonight. PNC Bank was sponsering the youth hockey night. The first 1000 kids under 12 to get in the door got a free jersey. This eagle was "flying" around...so I had my picture taken with him!
