Stacie and I went shopping today. Shopping for a new bra for me. I have never had a "bra fitting" before. Since I have lost weight, my "girls" are needing a little help! I was nervous, but in the end, glad I had the experts in the fitting department!

Day 147, Saturday, May 26, 2012
If you look really close, you will see the smallest little dog tag ever! We stopped at Petsmart to get Coco a dog tag. The laser is just beginning to cut his name!
Day 145, Thursday, May 24, 2012
The past few days, there has been lots of noise and movement in our office. Our building will have the tile removed from the second hallway, rooms and gym beginning June 4. The server and all the fiber optics cables had to be moved. The guys cut a hole in the principal's office and shoved the entire tower through the opening. It will be boarded up and the tile removed. Afterward, it will go back into the other room and the hole will be repaired.
Day 144, Wednesday, May 23, 2012
We had our annual staff luncheon today at Georgetowne. There has been a tradition started many years ago, where the top senior staff member, when they retire, they pass the top banana to the second senior staff member. Today, Vicky passed the banana (on the floor in the background) to Amy. It is always fun to see what the "banana" looks like!
Day 143, Tuesday, May 22, 2012
I had to take Coco to the vet today for a well puppy visit. He weighed 3 pounds and 13 ounces. Everyone loved on him and he got lots of treats. He also had to have one of his puppy shots and he DID NOT like it. He cried and tried to bite the vet. He didn't want anything to do with her after that. Poor little guy was really sore and droopy tonight.
Day 142, Monday, May 21, 2012
Look at all the gifts Mr. Coco got today! Aunt Cindy went shopping and she is trying to spoil our little boy. Thanks for the present Aunt Cindy and Uncle Eric! A puppy can never have too many treats or toys.
Day 141, Sunday, May 20, 2012
Meet Coco Smith! He is our new puppy! I drove to Lincoln today to pick him up. He is a 10 week old Havanese. He should get to be about 8-10 pounds. I found his picture on the internet and called the breeder. After a few days of not knowing if we were going to get him or not, I am so happy that he is going to be living with us!
Day 140, Saturday, May 19, 2012
This afternoon, I picked up Peyton and he is spending the night. We went to Culver's for dinner and stopped at Charlie's to check out the fish.
Day 139, Friday, May 18, 2012
Cindy and Eric just bought a new car. It is a 2012 Ford Escape. It is bright blue...she says Cubs blue or St. Louis Blues blue. Very pretty blue and a nice ride! Congratulations!
Day 138, Thursday, May 17, 2012
This bulletin board is one of my favorites. The kids made butterflies, flowers, leaves, sun rays and a caterpillar out of their hand prints. LOVE IT!
Day 137, Wednesday, May 16, 2012
I WON!!! I finally beat John at Words with Friends! I have been playing this game with him for a couple of weeks now. He always beats me...and badly! Not this time...I got you Johnny Mac!
Day 136, Tuesday, May 15, 2012
I popped popcorn this morning for one of the second grade classes. This class brought in the most Box Tops and Soup Labels for the month of May.
Day 135, Monday, May 14, 2012
I had a very exciting evening. I have lost 50 pounds since joining Weight Watchers on August 8, 2011. I got my second 25 pound token and added it to my key ring. I feel so much better about my choices and I am getting healthier everyday. I have lost 72 pounds from my heaviest weight four years ago. This is my life and how I am going to live it!
Day 134, Sunday, May 13, 2012
Happy Mother's Day! We bought this beautiful plant for Grandma Smith at the local nursery. It should bloom all summer. We took her to Applebee's for lunch and we took my parents to dinner at Avanti's. (I didn't have to cook all day!) It was a beautiful day for all.
Day 133, Saturday, May 12, 2012
We met John, Stacie, Tom and Cathy at Granite City this morning for brunch. The kids took us out for Mother's Day. We had a great time and enjoyed the awesome buffet. (and I counted my points, too!)
Day 132, Friday, May 11, 2012
The students got to play on the bouncers all afternoon. The company that we do our fund raising with, provides the bouncers at the end of the year for Play Day. The children enjoy this day! It is a great way to end the school year.

Day 131, Thursday, May 10, 2012
I took a class at Scrapadoodle tonight. I stopped at JoAnn's to use my 50% off coupon. I was surprised when I saw the Vagabond on the shelf. I asked if I could use my coupon on this machine and was happy when the clerk said I could. She went to the back and got the box and I walked out paying $125 for it! Happy Mother's Day to me! Thanks, Jim!
Day 130, Wednesday, May 9, 2012
The Margaritaville maker is MINE! Jim and I went to Kohl's tonight and used my 30% off coupon to buy this machine. Jill has one and we used it over the weekend for Cinco De Mayo Margarita's!
Day 129, Tuesday, May 8, 2012
Mrs. Wright, Mrs. DuBois, and Mrs. Jackson have all had the same little girl in school. Her parents are very thankful for the time these teachers have spent with their child. Dad has a business on this corner and put this message on his sign last night!
Day 128, Monday, May 7, 2012
Our card swap was tonight and we had a little baby shower for Erika! She is due in June with her first baby. A little girl! We are so happy for her! Our cards were Wedding, Anniversary or Baby theme. Our challenge was to use something in our stash that we had for a very long time and never used.

Day 126, Sunday, May 6, 2012
I had to run some errands today. I stopped at Charlie's to pick up some biscuits for Winston. He loves his puppy biscuits!
Day 126, Saturday, May 5, 2012
Happy Cinco De Mayo! We had a party at Grandma Smith's today. Jill, Pat and Peter came to visit from St. Louis. Jill and Peter made a yummy meal! I bought the hats for the kids to wear.
Day 125, Friday, May 4, 2012
I have been making a lot of baby cards lately. I found this one on Pinterest or at least the giraffe. I just love the giraffe at the Zoo. I used 15 different punches to create this guy! It was fun, but there was a lot of clean up afterwards!
Day 124, Thursday, May 3, 2012
Stacie asked me to make a couple of cards for her. She had a baptism and first communion to go to next weekend. I didn't have any religious cards. I bought some cross stickers, did some embossing and typed the words on my computer. She was happy, so I was, too!
Day 123, Wednesday, May 2, 2012
Nate posted this picture tonight. I was looking for a POTD and he hasn't been in many lately. He got moved to a different department at work and has to wear a "hat". This is the one he chose!
Day 122, Tuesday, May 1, 2012
Our Wedding Anniversary is today! We have been married for 36 years as of 3 p.m.! Jim sent me flowers (he is really good about that!). I love the red roses and he got the callies, because Stacie and John had callies in their wedding. We went to Red Lobster for dinner tonight and it was yummo! hanks, Jim! And Happy Anniversary!
Day 120, Sunday, April 29, 2012
Cindy and I went to Janelle's baby shower today. She got a ton of stuff for little Blake. He will be here before you know it!
Day 119, Saturday, April 28, 2012
No, the yard is not being marked for utility lines! I said we should get some "flags" to mark the Winston poop in our yard. I don't like to pick it up "fresh" and I don't always remember where he went last. I came home today and he had bought flags at Home Depot and placed them in the yard!
Day 118, Friday, April 27, 2012
I had to get a picture of the flags today. Another Pekin soldier lost his life last week. He was brought home yesterday and his funeral will be on Monday. I didn't know this young man, however, our community has shown their support with these flags. A retired individual has donated his time and asks for local volunteers to place the flags along the street. This time, there were more than 8 miles of flags from the edge of town, through town to the funeral home, down Court street and past Pekin High School all the way to the cemetary.
