Jim wanted to stop at Starbuck's, so I went to the Legoland Discovery Center. This giraffe is made out of Legos! We stopped at Ikea for a couple of hours, ate lunch at Famous Dave's and drove home. Nate picked up Coco and brought him home so he didn't have to stay another night at the kennel. It sure is good to be back home.

Day 202, Friday, July 20, 2012
We stopped at the Milwaukee Zoo today! It was a perfect day to visit the Zoo. We had a really good time viewing all of the animals. We drove to Schamburg, stopping at the outlet malls. We ate dinner at Benihana's! Yummy!
Day 201, Thursday, July 19, 2012
We left at 7:15 this morning in a horse drawn carriage headed for the ferry dock. This early in the morning there isn't much traffic on the main street. The ferry takes about 17 minutes to go from Mackinac Island to Mackinaw City. And of course, we have to cross the suspension bridge...oh boy!
Day 200, Wednesday, July 18, 2012
We rented bikes from our hotel and rode the 8 miles around Mackinac Island. It is a paved road. We stopped several times to take pictures of the island and lake. It was about 75 degrees. We also rode to the Grand Hotel and ate lunch there. We returned our bikes and walked up in the tower to view the island. We ate dinner at Mary's Bistro downtown after we played mini golf on the course with Executive greens.
Day 199, Tuesday, July 17, 2012
We took the ferry to Mackinac Island. There are NO cars on the island. We rode a horse drawn carriage around the island and learned about the history of the island. We had a great dinner at Millie's on Main and decided to rent bikes for tomorrow.
Day 198, Monday, July 16, 2012
We left this morning to drive to Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are going to Mackinac Island for a couple of days. But first we had to stop at Verizon, because Jim's phone wasn't working. It froze last night when he was trying to charge it. Thank goodness, it just needed to be reset. This was my dinner tonight!
Day 197, Sunday, July 15, 2012
Coco is 4 months old today! I am so happy to have this little guy in our house! Well, except for the chewing, potty accidents, nipping and crying at night.
Day 196, Saturday, July 14, 2012
I bought these shoes the other day. I have been looking at these shoes for a couple of weeks. I thought I wanted the brown ones and would have to order them on-line. I changed my mind and bought the black ones.
Day 195, Friday, July 13, 2012
Cindy and I have been working on this project for a couple of weeks. We took an on-line class using different techniques to create all of these hearts. Each one is different. I am going to hang this canvas in my scrap cave!

Day 194, Thursday, July 12, 2012
Petyon and I played Monopoly for about 2 hours this afternoon. We actually got to the point today, where we were buying houses and hotels. We have been playing every week since I have been off work. (He usually beats me badly!)
Day 193, Wednesday, July 11, 2012
I started taking the Body Pump class a couple of weeks ago. I try to go at least twice a week. I don't lift very much weight right now. I hope to add weight as time goes on. I need to tone some muscles since I have lost some weight. This class is a lot more fun than lifting weights alone!
Day 192, Tuesday, July 10, 2012
This morning as I was going to Parkside to exercise, these white flowers caught my eye. I didn't realize until after I had taken the picture that there were so many bugs on the petals! Yucky! But the flowers were very pretty!
Day 191, Monday, July 9, 2012
I have been using some of my "kits" from swaps and classes. I also have gotten a few 8x8 layouts for Peyton done, too!
Day 190, Sunday, July 8, 2012
We went to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch today! We had the peel and eat shrimp as an appetizer. We split the steampot. It has crab legs, peel & eat shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. Yummo!
Day 189, Saturday, July 7, 2012
When we got in the car today, the temp was 118 degrees. By the time I got the camera ready, it came down 2 degrees. The temp is supposed to break tomorrow!
Day 188, Friday, July 6, 2012
We got another card from Starbuck's today. After you purchase a certain number of drinks, you get a free one. Jim always gives the free ones to Stacie since she buys the more expense drinks.
Thursday, July 5, 2012
Day 187, Thursday, July 5, 2012
Petyon and I went to the Wheels of Time Museum today. Unfortunately, this building isn't air conditioned. It was an interesting place and I would like to go back there when it is cooler. Most of the cars are owned by local people.
Day 186, Wednesday, July 4, 2012
Happy 4th of July! We didn't go to the fireworks tonight. The temp has been at least 100 degrees for several days. We watched the fireworks in New York on TV. Elaine sent me this picture of the fireworks in the park tonight. Thanks!
Day 185, Tuesday, July 3, 2012
Last night when I got home from my card swap, Jim told he about the mole hole. This mound of dirt was made by a mole on sunday. On Monday morning, the hole was there. Jim lit a smoke bomb and shoved it down in the hole, monday night. This mole has been tunneling all over our yard!
Day 184, Monday, July 2, 2012
I made this card for our card swap. The card was supposed to be a sympathy card. I used one of the techniques that I learned in the on line class that I took in January.
Day 183, Sunday, July 1, 2012
We went to the cemetary this morning to place the windchimes on Grandpa Smith's grave. He always loved the sound of windchimes.
Day 182, Saturday June 30, 2012
Cindy and I went to Scrapadoodle for the final Copic marker class in the series of 6. We made these two cards. It is hard to see in the photo, but the poinsetta has a layer of velumn. I am happy I took all 6 classes. I need to spend more time coloring with the markers.
Day 181, Friday, June 29, 2012
When Coco first came to live with us, he didn't eat his food all at once. The last few days he has been putting his face in the bowl and eating all of his food. Tonight, he had to sit down to eat!
Day 180, Thursday, June 28, 2012
Coco went to the puppy spa today. He got a bath and his nails trimmed. It has only been two weeks since he went last, but I want to make sure he is comfortable with the groomer. She put the little kerchief on him.
Day 179, Wednesday, June 27, 2012
Peyton and I went to Lakeview Museum to see the Knex display. We walked around and watched each of the different carnival themed displays. At the end of the exhibit, there is an area where you can build with the Knex blocks/bricks. The kids can play and if you would like to purchase their creation, you are charged by the ounce. Peyton wanted to make a helicopter. I helped him build it. We used one pound of Knex. Cost me $12.
