Coco and I have been walking nearly everyday. Each time we go out, we walk just a little faster. Now we are up to 20 minutes and had to increase our route to include another block. Each time when we get back to the house, he runs to his water dish. We are walking about a mile. Last fall, we walked around one block. He is getting faster and so am I!

Day 117, Saturday, April 27, 2013
Stacie suggested we should go to the Mackinaw Tea Room for lunch today! It was a great idea and we all enjoyed ourselves. Pictured left to right: Me, Jill, Grandma Smith, Rachel, back row: Stacie and Aly. It was an awesome girls lunch out! Love you all!
Day 116, Friday, April 26, 2013
Tonight was the school carnival. Cindy and I worked at the Tiger Wear and Cotton Candy table. I won three baskets with my raffle tickets. A $50 Origami Owl certificate, 3 month membership to Parkside and a buy one get one coupon book!
Day 115, Thursday, April 25, 2013
The company who is installing a fence to separate our parking lot from the playground started digging the holes and setting the poles in concrete, today. There will be two gates to enter the playground.
Day 114, Wednesday, April 24, 2013
Mr. Goss sent Cindy a raspberry cheesecake from Junior's and I got a fruit bouquet from Edible Arrangement's. He really appreciates us! Thank you, Mr. Goss!
Day 113, Tuesday, April 23, 2013
I got this cute little memo board as one of our gifts for Secretary's Day (week). Sheila is such a great shopper for Cindy and me!
Day 112, Monday, April 22, 2013
I stood in the same spot today and took this picture. If you look really close, there is a guy in a kayak out in the platform area.
Day 111, Sunday, April 21, 2013
The river is rising! The area where the black rails are out in the river, is where we have ridden our bikes before. There is a little platform where you can stand out at the end. Usually the water is below that.
Day 110, Saturday, April 20, 2013
Here we are waiting for the 5K to start. I was nervous at first. But we made it! My time was 56:22. I was hoping to finish in an hour and 5 or 10 minutes. But I was walking with Jim and Jeff and they kept the pace at 3.6! I am so happy to have completed a 5K walk! Thanks for walking with me Jim and Jeff!
Day 109, Friday, April 19, 2013
I just opened my first ever, 5K Race Packet. I will be walking in the first annual Tiger Trot 5K Challenge. This race is a fund raiser for our school. I would never have tried this when I was 80 pounds heavier.
Day 108, Thursday, April 18, 2013
I work just about everyday at lunch on a Zentangle tile. I have printed some of the tiles I found on Pinterest to duplicate or inspire me. I am amazed every time I pick up my pen and start to draw, how much this activity relaxes me. I am so happy, my friend Pam, sparked my interest in this drawing.
Day 107, Wednesday, April 17, 2013
Our 3rd grade students went to watch the fire department set the Native Illinois Prairie Grass on fire. There is a large area (you can see the fire men on the right upper part of the photo) planted with the grass and every spring it is burnt off. Before the fire is started, the children run through the grass to scare any small animals out of the area. It rained this morning and they had to start the fire in many areas to get it burn off completely.
Day 106, Tuesday, April 16, 2013
Our annual Jump Rope for Heart event is friday. Our P.E. teacher had the idea of creating a large heart from many little hearts. Each student wrote their name and the reason they are participating in the event. The students collect money to donate to the American Heart Association.
Day 105, Monday, April 15, 2013
Even though the pegboard is still bare...I am so happy to see Project Life at Hobby Lobby. I started Project 365 almost 4 1/2 years ago. I have loved documenting all the things that happen everyday in my life. I would have missed many of the photos I have taken over the past 4 years. Taking a picture everyday and journaling about it can be a challenge. I don't regret starting this project!
Day 104, Sunday, April 14, 2013
My tulips are up and open in the front yard flower bed. There are red and yellow ones and I think I planted a few purple, but they haven't bloomed yet. It was a bright sunny day.
Day 103, Saturday, April 13, 2013
Had to spend my Kohl's Cash tonight. It expires tomorrow, however, I have used expired Kohl's Cash before.
Day 102, Friday, April 12, 2013
Stacie sent me this picture of John. They had to go to the E.R. because John has been having trouble breathing. He has a pulse ox monitor on his pointer finger.
Day 100, Wednesday, April 10, 2013
I was so happy to see these little flowers poke their petals out of the ground. They are really tiny and look like daisy's, but I don't know what they are for sure. I just liked the picture on the front of the package, so I bought them and planted them last fall, along with about 500 other bulbs.
Day 99, Tuesday, April 9, 2013
The rain has brought my bulbs to life! I wasn't sure I planted them right, but I guess I did okay. These are the ones by the garage. The purple ones are of course my favorite!
Day 98, Monday, April 8, 2013
We met at Panera in East Peoria for our card swap this month. We were to make a graduation or thank you card this month. Mine is the one on the bottom right. This group of girls make the best cards.
Day 97, Sunday, April 7, 2013
We got home from our trip around 12:30 p.m. I worked most of the afternoon on laundry and cleaning up around the house. I got all of my purchases out and got this picture. Oh boy, I have a lot of work to do! It was lots of fun with my BFF! Can't wait until next year.
Day 96, Saturday, April 6, 2013
We were most excited about this class. The class was taught by Stephanie of Stamps for Life. She also works for Sizzix and has co-ordinating stamps and dies. We used the flip-it dies to create some awesome cards. We also took two other classes and we ate supper at Lotta Watta Creek again. We worked on one of our mini albums until 1 a.m.
Day 95, Friday, April 5, 2013
Cindy and I left this morning for CKC in St Louis. We have been waiting for this day since we registered in January. We spent today shopping and we took one class. Tonight we went to Lotta Watta Creek for supper! Here I am carrying my purchases and my class tote bag.
Day 94, Thursday, April 4, 2013
I picked up Peyton after my workout at 11 today. We went to the Zoo and to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. When we got home we played UNO for a while. I think there are at least 4 decks of UNO cards in this game right now. That is way to many Draw 4 cards!
Day 93, Wednesday, April 3, 2013
I got my Weekly Stats from Fitbit, today. I finally made it over the 70,000 steps a week goal. The American Heart Association recommends you should take 10,000 steps a day for heart health. I have been getting between 60,000 and 65,000 every week. My 17,000 plus steps that I took last friday, really helped!
Day 92, Tuesday, April 2, 2013
Peyton came to visit me this afternoon. We are going to a movie, but first we started this art project. We tore pages of text from an old book and mod pogded them to a large canvas. After it is dry, I will add vinyl letters to spell out the "Family Rules" and all the rules of our family.
Day 91, Monday, April 1, 2013
I have NEVER been the #1 person in my Fitbit group, until today. I updated my Fitbit and I took the top spot from Mark. Well, at least for a few hours. I know when he gets home from work he will be ahead of me again.
Day 90, Sunday, March 31, 2013
Happy Easter to everyone. We had brunch for Easter, today. Pancakes, hash brown casserole, bacon and salad. Peyton got to have an egg hunt...only there were clues to find each egg. He had fun reading the clues and finding the bags with the treats in them. We also went to Grandma Smith's for supper.
Day 89, Saturday, March 30, 2013
Tonight we went to the Rivermen game. This could be our very last hockey game. The team has been sold to Vancouver and might not be in Peoria next year.
Day 88, Friday, March 29, 2013
I am so proud of this picture! This is my total number of steps for the day. I did my workout on the elliptical this morning. Stacie and I went shopping today, too. This is the most steps I have taken in one day.
Day 87, Thursday, March 28, 2013
Today, I walked past this bulletin board at school and realized these shamrocks are Zentangle patterns. I have been obsessed with Zentangle since I took the class at Scrapadoodle! I see patterns everywhere and try to draw a tangle nearly everyday.
Day 86, Wednesday, March 27, 2013
These are the flowers I cut out of white watercolor paper. I inked them with purple and yellow distress ink and poked a brad through the center. They are going on my Easter cards that I need to get mailed right away!
Day 85, Tuesday, March 26, 2013
My Weight Watcher leader shared this cake recipe the other day. This is 3 2 1 cake. Mix an angel food cake mix and any other kind of cake mix together, dry. Use 3 tablespoons of the dry mix, 2 tablespoons of water and mix in a coffee cup or ramekin dish. Place in the microwave for 1 minute. I added fat free cool whip and fresh strawberries. It was awesome! This is the chocolate. I have funfetti, strawberry and red velvet, too!
Day 83, Sunday, March 24, 2013
Jim and I went to Famous Dave's this afternoon for lunch to use his birthday coupon for a free dinner. He loves to get the ribs at Famous Dave's. He was embarrassed when the waitress brought out the birthday candle!
Day 82, Saturday, March 23, 2013
Happy Birthday, Peyton! I can't believe Peyton is 11 years old today! Where has the time gone? He wanted the Dairy Queen cake again this year, but who wouldn't? It is a yummy cake...good choice, little man. We gave him a Toys R Us gift card. He wants to buy an ipod with his birthday money.
Day 81, Friday, March 22, 2013
Cindy and I have recently purchased Origami Owl Living Lockets. Cindy bought the "Best Friends" heart for us. She will have one half in her locket and I will have the other half in my locket. She is my BFF!
