Day 279, Saturday, October 6, 2018
Our World Card Making Day crop. I am so lucky to have friends who like to get together and share our love of paper crafts.
Day 276, Wednesday, October 3, 2018
This is the first time our country has enabled a Presidential Alert. I hope we never need to use this system.
Day 274, Monday, October 1, 2018
It is hard to believe it is already October 1. No better way to see October than finding Snoopy and Woodstock dressed as super heroes.
Day 272, Saturday, September 29, 2018
Stacie hosted the 11th annual bags Invitational today at Nikki and Rob's house. She donated $500 to Illinois Cancer Care. That is where John had the majority of his treatments when he was fighting Lymphoma.
Day 269, Wednesday, September 26, 2018
I bought a new rug for the living room. I also got two smaller ones that match for the front door and under the rocking chair.
Day 266, Sunday, September 23, 2018
This is my Halloween printer's tray. I used my favorite collection, Simple Stories Frankie & Friends!
Day 265, Saturday, September 22, 2018
The hummers seem to be a little more aggressive. They still fly away pretty quickly, but come back sooner.
Day 264, Friday, September 21, 2018
Stacie and I went to a paint pouring class tonight. It was a lot of fun! It was interesting to see how different each canvas was.
Day 263, Thursday, September 20, 2018
I had to get my blood work rechecked. The doctor changed some of the doses and wanted to make sure everything was okay.
Day 262, Wednesday, September 19, 2018
This is one of the Christmas cards that I started at the Barn, but didn't have time to finish them. I will work on them the rest of the week.
Day 259, Sunday, September 16, 2018
I went to Dick Blick on my way home from the Barn. Kellee said I needed R81 to color faces. I bought the last one they had in the store!
Day 258, Saturday, September 15, 2018
This is one of the reasons I enjoy going to the Barn for the weekend. It is so peaceful on the farm.
Day 257, Friday, September 14, 2018
Just a crazy bunch of girls enjoying their time together at the Barn. We tried to take a photo with the timer on my phone, but it didn't work out, so selfie time! LOL
Day 255, Wednesday, September 12, 2018
This is how our day went. McDonald's and Dairy Queen. You know it's a bad day when your boss gives you her personal debit card and sends you after DQ!
Day 252, Sunday, September 9, 2018
I got a great deal on toothpaste! It was on sale for $1.98 and I had two coupons for $2.00 off two tubes!
Day 250, Friday, September 7, 2018
One of the perks of working in a school, sometimes you get to meet Batman!! He read to our Pre-K students and visited every classroom.
Day 249, Thursday, September 6, 2018
Jim went to the eye specialist for his sty. He is on antibiotic again. If it doesn't look better in two weeks, he may have surgery to remove the pocket of infection.
Day 246, Monday, September 3, 2018
This is my first time using acrylic paint to pour on canvas. I have been researching this technique for several months. I am amazed at the outcome!
Day 245, Sunday, September 2, 2018
We had smoked meatloaf for dinner. This is the second time Nate has made this recipe on the Rec Tec grill. It was delicious!
Day 244, Saturday,September 1, 2018
I began prepping Christmas cards. I am going to the Barn on the 14th, so I hope to get them all made while I am there.
Day 243, Friday, August 31, 2018
As soon as I got license renewal, I went to the DMV. I didn't know I had to take the written test. I missed one and accidentally skipped one...I was about to have a panic attack! I answered the remainder of the questions and passed. Now you have to wait for your permanent license to come in the mail. Mine came today after I had tested on the 23.
Day 241, Wednesday, August 29, 2018
I bought these succulents and planted them in the spring. Nate has been watering all the plants with rain water from our rain barrel. It is amazing how much better the plants grow with rain water.
Day 240, Tuesday, August 28, 2018
I have a student who I give meds to everyday. He always wants to "Check the weather on your phone, Miss Aprile". I have all the cities marked where we have been on vacation. Today, it was a thunderstorm in New Orleans. I had no idea this app would show lightening, but I caught it just right as a screen shot.
Day 239, Monday, August 27, 2018
My dad gave me this bracelet recently. He had it made from their wedding bands that they wore for awhile. They were wider bands. He had the jeweler twist the gold and put a clasp on it so I could take it off if I wanted to.
Day 238, Sunday, August 26, 2018
I have been trying to eat better and stay on track. I always feel better when I do some food prep for later in the week.
Day 237, Saturday, August 25, 2018
We had the largest group of girls at our crop this weekend. We enjoy spending time together and sharing our ideas with each other.
Day 236, Friday, August 24, 2018
Nate took a few of the "babies" off the spider plant and potted them in a smaller pot. I hope they grow roots and start another plant.
Day 235, Thursday, August 23, 2018
Our little hummingbird friends are enjoying all the bird feeders that Jim keeps filled in our backyard.
Day 233, Tuesday, August 21, 2018
I have this canvas in my craft room. I had letters on it and they have fallen off. I need to fix this up a bit.
Day 232, Monday, August 20, 2018
Today is our first day of student attendance. We are feeling so bad for the beginning of the year. There were a lot of changes during registration that made the start of this year feel rough.
