Day 76, Saturday, March 15, 2024

We stopped at Bass Pro to do a little shopping.  I always have to take a photo of the "scenes".  That bear is REALLY big!  We ate at Chili's.  I had a steak, and it was really good!

Day 75, Friday, March 15, 2024

This side of the house is a mess.  We need to put new mulch and clean up the weeds.  Peyton is going to come help us soon!

Day 74, Thursday, March 14, 2024

And sometimes I don't even have to shake my head.. just blinking does it for me!

Day 73, Wednesday, March 13, 2024

Somedays are like this... only adding family and friends!

Day 72, Tuesday, March 12, 2024

The weather has been so warm!  The flowers are bursting out of the ground at an amazing speed!  Spring wants to arrive, but Central Illinois is so unpredictable temperature wise!

Tuesday, March 12, 2024

Day 71, Monday, March 11, 2024

Another beautiful day for a walk outside.  This is the top of that really old tree at Coal Miner's park.  Coco walked with us again, too!

Day 70, Sunday, March 10, 2024

I had to work fast today to get all the auction items ready for Picker's and Timeless Treasure Market!

Day 69, Saturday, March 9, 2024

Here is our group from the weekend.  We are sitting on the steps to the stage at The Barn III.  There were some other photos, but they were silly ones, of course!  We were all spoiled like royalty during the Crafting Queen Retreat!

Day 68, Friday, March 8, 2024

This is truly the best scrapbook retreat I have ever participated in.  We had a group of 7 girls at our table.  There were about 50 crafters during the 3 days!  I already registered for next year!

Day 67, Thursday, March 7, 2024

This was the sale at the Barn III during the craft retreat.  Crafting Auntie (Lisa) needs to downsize her supplies.  Our group has volunteered to help her.  This will be an amazing weekend with our friends.

Day 66, Wednesday, March 6, 2024

I think this picture is from a couple of years ago.  Jim's mom and his sister, Jill.  Gram would have been 97 today.  We all went to eat lunch at Whiskey Taco after we finished removing her belongings from Cedarhurst.

Day 65, Tuesday, March 5, 2024

I was chosen as the February shopping perk winner at Scrapbook Generation.  I won the random prize drawing for shopping at their on line store.

Day 64, Monday, March 4, 2024

We said goodbye to Jim's Mom, this morning.  She passed away around 9:30 a.m.  We had several nurses that would qualify for this Daisy award in the past few days.  She will be greatly missing at just shy of 97 years young.

Day 63, Sunday, March 3, 2024

Stacie has been on Coco duty.  We have been at the hospital with Jim's Mom.  She fell on Friday and broke her femur.  She has been placed on "Comfort Care" for now.

Day 62, Saturday, March 2, 2024

The weather has been so warm the past few days.  Our tulips are pushing up their green leaves.  I hope this means an early Spring.  We have had snow in April when the blooms are huge!

Day 61, Friday, March 1, 2024

Lily went to the eye doctor for her Kindergarten exam.  She was disappointed she didn't get glasses!

Day 60, Thursday, February 29, 2024

Today is Leap Day.  February has 29 days this year!

Day 59, Wednesday, February 28, 2024

I started doing the leg press after I got my right knee replaced in April of 2022.  I still do this exercise and my strength in my legs has increased so much.  I am amazed at how straight my leg is now.

Day 58, Tuesday, February 27, 2024

Lobster Ravioli is what's for dinner!  We celebrated Stacie's birthday tonight.  She was busy during the week of her birthday with work stuff.  Jim, Tom, Stacie and I went to Joe's Italian Steakhouse in Peoria Heights!  YUMMY!

Day 57, Monday, February 26, 2024

Jim, Coco and I went for a walk at Coal Miner's Park.  Coco had the best time sniffing all the "things"!  He walked along with us the entire way.  What a good boy!  We really enjoyed walking outside today!

Monday, February 26, 2024

Day 56, Sunday, February 25, 2024

Coco likes to sleep on the couch while we watch TV in the evenings.  At almost 12 years old, he sometimes needs a "boost" from Jim to get him up there!

Day 55, Saturday, February 24, 2024

I have been cleaning and organizing in my scrap room.  I am building kits to auction at Timeless Treasure Market and donating the money I earn to Totes for Ta-Ta's.

Day 54, Friday, February 23, 2024

I bought this Lego Creator Camera to put on a shelf in my scrap room!  I may need some help from Peyton!

Day 53, Thursday, February 22, 2024

We went for a walk at Coal Miner's park this afternoon.  This tree is hollow at the base and it looks like it has grown an ear above the opening.

Day 52, Wednesday, February 21, 2024

The white car on the back of this trailer is my dad's car.  He passed on August 26, 2023.  This car was in Oklahoma in his garage.  His wife decided she was keeping it, even though the laws said she didn't get the car.  I hired a lawyer and the car was finally delivered to Illinois.  My sister will be the next owner.

Day 51, Tuesday, February 20, 2024

I bought Coco his St. Patrick's Day kerchief at The Picker's Daughter.  He loves wearing them.  He will wag his tag and put his head right in the opening!

Day 50, Monday, February 19, 2024

...my scissors, my paper trimmer, my glue, my photos, well all of the things, really!

Day 49, Sunday, February 18, 2024

Tomorrow is Stacie's birthday. This picture came up in my Facebook memories! I took this picture of her on her 30th birthday.  My mom and Peyton are posing with her.  I'm not sure what Peyton was singing, but he was happy!

Sunday, February 18, 2024

Day 48, Saturday, February 17, 2024

This is the first crop I have been able to attend since last May.  Lisa, Tina and Pam were not able to come this time... so maybe next time.

Day 47, Friday, February 16, 2024

I found this cute little Snoopy cup at Marshall's!  I'm going to use it in my scrap cave to hold pencils or pens.

Day 46, Thursday, February 15, 2024

Jim has to wear a heart monitor for 30 days because he was in Afib after valve replacement surgery.  Hopefully, this will be the last test he needs to complete his recovery.

Day 45, Wednesday, February 14, 2024

Happy Valentine's Day!  I got flowers and Jim got to share his dark chocolate covered strawberries from Costco!

Day 44, Tuesday, February 13, 2024

Today we celebrated the life of Eilene Bingham who was 102 years young.  Andy and Stacie are in front of the booth that houses John's high school football jersey and photo.

Monday, February 12, 2024

Day 43, Monday, February 12, 2024

I worked really hard yesterday getting the auction items ready for the boutiques.  The auction's start on Wednesday and end Thursday at 7 p.m.  All of our profits benefit Illinois CancerCare.

Day 42, Sunday, February 11, 2024

Today was Super Bowl Sunday!  I personally do not know anything about football, but I love the commercials!  The Kansas City Chiefs won in overtime against San Francisco.

Day 41, Saturday, February 10, 2024

We got to help measure and talk about furniture placement in the new location for our friend.

Day 40, Friday, February 9, 2024

Today we spent time together to help our friend get her house ready to welcome home her husband.  Of course the cat had to help with everything!  I love that we can get together and help a friend in need!

Day 39, Thursday, February 8, 2024

This evening we had a "Pop-Up" at Whiskey Taco for Totes!  Pictured with me are Kim, Christy, Stacie and Sarah.  A few of the other committee members came later to help out!  We sold 15 purses and made $291!  The best part is we talked to a bunch of ladies to spread the word about Lymphoma Is A Loser our registered non-profit.

Day 38, Wednesday, February 7, 2024

We finally got to order Jim's hearing aids!  After waiting for 5 months, he had his MRI to rule out a tumor in his head and we got the appointment with the audiologist!

Tuesday, February 6, 2024

Day 37, Tuesday, February 6, 2024

Last night we had our first card swap of 2024.  We have 9 in our group, but only 6 participated this month.  Nice cards from my card making friends!

Day 36, Monday, February 5, 2024

This squirrel was sitting on top of the garage when I let Coco out this morning.  Jim put the bird feeders out over the weekend.  The squirrels have been getting their share of the bird food, even though the feeders are "squirrel proof"!

Day 35, Sunday, February 4, 2024

This pair of Bald Eagles have a nest in California.  The Facebook page is Friends of Big Bear Valley.  This is Shadow and Jackie.  They have 3 eggs in the nest currently.  We have been watching their progress for a couple of years.

Day 34, Saturday, February 3, 2024

I have seen and heard these 4 words from many people recently!

Day 33, Friday, February 2, 2024

Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow, which means, Spring is right around the corner! YES!!

Day 32, Thursday, February 1, 2024

We had Nappa Cabbage grilled chicken salad with warm soy dressing for dinner tonight!  Yummy!

Day 31, Wednesday, January 31, 2024

I say this sentence in my head before I write past 30 for any month...except February, which has 28 unless it's Leap year and it has 29.  And this year is Leap year!  I feel like this January was at least 973 days!

Day 30, Tuesday, January 30, 2024

I bought another clearance priced flower bouquet at Kroger!  This one had mini carnations, sunflowers and lilies. I didn't know what the green buds were when I bought it.  I still don't know the name of the flowers!

Tuesday, January 30, 2024

Day 29, Monday, January 29, 2024

This is one of the new papers for 49 & Market Wherever collection.  Someone added the quote about the craft store.  This is so me and I may have some of the paper on order! LOL

Day 28, Sunday, January 28, 2024

I have been eating strawberries nearly everyday since March.  Tonight, I opened a new container and this huge berry was in the middle of the strawberries!  I was almost as big as my fist!

Day 27, Saturday, January 27, 2024

We went to the arena at 4:15 p.m. to watch our friend Corbie play hockey!  They played one of the top teams in the country and lost 2-6.  The third period was the downfall, but it was a great game to watch.
