I took my dad to have his last surgery on his arm for dialysis this morning. When we returned, the gutters were up on the house!

Day 200, Monday, July 18, 2016
Jim bought tomato plants and didn't get them planted right away. He thought they were toast, so he bought a couple more. Well, as you can see, all of them are doing well, so we will have tons of tomatoes!
Day 199, Sunday, July 17, 2016
We went to the 3rd Sunday Market in Bloomington this morning. It was fun to look at all the vendors. However, it started to storm and the clouds looked awful, so we left early. I did find the old sewing drawers that I had been looking for and a wooden candle holder, too.
Day 198, Saturday, July 16, 2016
I have been helping my dad go through some boxes and totes. We opened this box and it was full of 8 track tapes!!
Day 197, Friday, July 15, 2016
I looked over to see where Coco was...and here he is, sleeping soundly on the couch. I don't know how his little body can twist like this!
Day 196, Thursday, July 14, 2016
Peyton and I had a busy day! He was out mowing Poppie's grass while I was cleaning inside the house and doing laundry. He was a good helper this morning going through boxes, too!
Day 195, Wednesday, July 13, 2016
While Wal-Mart is not one of my favorite places to go, I did find these cute little "garbage cans" that will be perfect to set on my scrappy desk to catch those little bits of paper!
Day 194, Tuesday, July 12, 2016
Peach Pie! My very bestest friend brought us peach pie! Jim ran to the store to get vanilla bean ice cream! Yummop!
Sunday, July 10, 2016
Day 192, Sunday, July 10, 2016
We have been watching these bears from Alaska on a web cam. One bear ate 32 fish in one 24 hour period. At 4,000 calories per fish...that's a lot of calories!
Day 189, Thursday, July 7, 2016
I have a "Love/Hate" relationship with school supplies! I love the smell of new crayons, but this makes me realize that my summer break is coming to an end!
Day 187, Tuesday, July 5, 2016
Stacie and Sherrie are hosting a Keep Collective to earn some funds for their Lymphoma Tote project. I ordered the paw, star fish, giraffe and small pendant.
Day 186, Monday, July 4, 2016
We went to the Sculpture Walk this afternoon. We were really hot after walking downtown. We stopped at Chick-Fil-A for a frosted lemonade.
Day 181, Wednesday, June 29, 2016
We were happy to find this chair at my dad's house. He can't get up from sitting in a chair without arms.
Day 180, Tuesday, June 28, 2016
After 21 days in the hospital, in and out of ICU and CCU, and nearly 2 months in the nursing home, my dad got to come home today. He had to say goodbye to all of his nurses and friends at Rosewood, but waited until both of his physical therapists were free to say goodbye and thank them for helping him get back on his feet!
Day 176, Friday, June 24, 2016
John has been seeing the doctor at the Pekin clinic post transplant. He got a rose, today after his appointment.
Day 175, Thursday, June 23, 2016
My dad had a sonagram on his left arm. He has to have one more surgery to finish the port for dialysis. We stopped and ate a very late breakfast.
Day 174, Wednesday, June 22, 2016
Peyton and I went to see this movie today. He helped me do a whole bunch of de-cluttering at my dad's house. Because he helped me soooooo much, I took him to lunch and a movie!
Day 170, Saturday, June 18, 2016
I am so happy for these two! Aly and Kirby were married today. I wish them all the happiness in the world! Love you both!
Day 169, Friday, June 17, 2016
I helped Stacie make cupcakes for Aly's wedding. We made 250 cupcakes. Half were Margarita and half were chocolate. They both were yummy, however, zesting limes for 125 cupcakes is not my favorite activity!
Day 168, Thursday, June 16, 2016
The annual St Jude run is coming up. We support several runners. One of them will always get $78.13. That represents the date that John got the "complete response" to clear his body of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, 07/08/2013
Day 165, Monday, June 13, 2016
This picture shows the back half of the house sitting on the foundation. From start to finish it took about 4 hours to get the house placed on the property. There will be about 5 weeks of finishing, before they can move in.
Day 163, Saturday, June 11, 2016
The Tremont Turkey Festival is this weekend. We went to the drive through at the high school and got turkey sandwiches and strawberry short cake. You can see our license plate number on the bottom of the sack. We didn't even have to get out of the car.
Day 161, Thursday, June 9, 2016
Our last day to work for the 2015-2016 school year! Cindy and I made a platform out of foam core board to stack the cash box on. It was sitting down to far in the drawer and each time we opened it, it would whack us on the back of our hand. We fixed it with a little hot glue!
Day 160, Wednesday, June 8, 2016
I have been driving my dad's car a few times and I just can't see over the hood! I was at least 4 feet away from the parking block!!
Day 158, Monday, June 6, 2016
I stopped at Walgreens to pick up some things and the soap I use is on sale...buy 2 get one free, during the month of June. I will be taking advantage of this sale!
Day 157, Sunday, June 5, 2016
I had to have this post-it note dispenser from Target. The bird is not on the dispenser, it is on a clip that sits behind it.
Day 155, Friday, June 3, 2016
My dad got a "lunch note" today. He goes to dialysis 3 days a week. He is still in the nursing home and is getting stronger everyday.
Day 153, Wednesday, June 1, 2016
I took my mom to get a haircut. I moved her from Morton Terrace to Pekin Manor today. This is such a great move, as she will be only 5 minutes from us instead of 20!
Day 152, Tuesday, May 31, 2016
I try to scrapbook something everyday. I finished this layout this evening. I got that cowgirl in a swap a few years ago. I can't remember who made it, but they did an awesome job and it fits perfect on this layout!
