Lisa invited me to participate in "19 Things for 2019". She is doing a "1 and done" list. I decided to do a list of things to "work on" during the year. Some things I will be able to cross off the list as they are completed and others are to improve my daily life.

Day 15, Tuesday, January 15, 2019
Last summer, I bought these fake cactus to put on my window sill. When I looked out the window at the snow, I thought it was funny to see how green the cactus were and how white everything outside was.
Day 14, Monday, January 14, 2019
As I went down the hill after work, three deer where right on the edge of the tree line. I stopped to take this photo. When I rolled down my window, all three of them looked at me.
Day 13, Sunday, January 13, 2019
First thing this morning, Mike came shoveling his way to the Barn. We went out and took turns shoveling the cars out. We had to wait until Carl came with his tractor to dig out the drive and the remainder of the snow around the cars. We left about 1:30 and took our time returning home.
Day 12, Saturday, January 12, 2019
When we got up this morning there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground. It had snowed all night and it snowed all day and into the night. It was beautiful, but we didn't know if we were going to be able to leave on Sunday morning.
Day 11, Friday, January 11, 2019
I left work to go to The Barn. I had to pick up Nikki because she had a flat tire. We went to Galesburg to eat dinner at Charred 51, where we celebrated Kellee's 60th birthday.
Day 10, Thursday, January 10, 2019
Cindy and I have been taking a class at The Paper Forest. The Copic marker class taught by Michelle, has been such a great learning experience!
Day 8, Tuesday, January 8, 2019
I have been trying to get this print in a Lularoe Carly. Stacie had a friend who lives in St Louis find this for me!
Day 7, Monday, January 7, 2019
My friends and I shop at Scrapbook Generation's on line store. We follow the store on Facebook. This morning my friend Amy won this kit for a comment she made last week!
Day 6, Sunday, January 6, 2019
I fill our pill containers every Sunday morning. We stopped at Walgreen's a picked up our prescriptions for the month. The vitamins were on sale, buy one get one free, so we got enough to last through 2019.
Day 4, Friday, January 4, 2019
This is my last shrimp salad from the leftovers from New Year's Eve. It wasn't so bad eating leftovers...when it is shrimp!
Day 3, Thursday, January 3, 2019
I worked on completing my Project 365 2018 for most of the day. Coco was glad I was home and staying in one spot for the majority of the day.
Day 2, Wednesday, January 2, 2019
I completed this album, today. I have used Claus & Co for the last 3 years. It is my favorite Christmas collection. This is the 6 year I have worked on December Daily.
Day 1, Tuesday, January 1, 2019
Today is the beginning of a new year. 2019 is the beginning of my 11 year of Project 365. I can't believe I have continued this job of taking a photo everyday and journaling about it for 10 years. I started this year taking a couple of naps and not doing much of anything.

Day 365, Monday, December 31, 2018
Today is the last day of the year for 208. We went to Rob and Cyndi's and had way too much food! All of it was yummy and we played cards until midnight!
Day 364, Sunday, December 30, 2018
I spent the majority of the day working on my Project 365 album. I had all the pictures printed, but only had the first week of journaling done. We ordered pizza for dinner. I wish I had invented those little plastic "tables". They keep the foil off the cheese, so it doesn't stick to the top!
Day 363, Saturday, December 29, 2018
This wreath is on Fondulac Drive. We went up to take a couple of pictures of it. It is a Ferris Wheel and has been used for many years during the Festival of Lights. The left picture is from the front and the right picture is from the back. You can see the structure in the right one.
Day 362, Friday, December 28, 2018
I managed to get all the decorations down today. I usually do that the day after Christmas, but we had other more important plans this year, (see previous posts).
Day 361, Thursday, December 27, 2018
Jim is waiting to see the doc this morning. His eye is a little swollen and the pressure is higher than it was before surgery, but the doc said this is what they normally expect. Everything is "dead nuts on"...some new medical term?
Day 360, Wednesday, December 26, 2018
Jim is ready for the second surgery. He thinks he heard the doc drop the "F bomb" while he was working on him. The surgery went well. You can see the orange dot above his left eye...so they know which eye to work on!
Day 359, Tuesday, December 25, 2018
Our house was full of family over the holidays. There wasn't any snow, so Rob made it out of the house and up our steps. It was a loud, wild and crazy day, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Merry Christmas
Day 358, Monday, December 24, 2018
Jackson, my great nephew, was more interested in the boxes and wrapping paper! Stacie bought him a pair of Van sneakers for Christmas. Johnny Mac would approve, although Jackson wasn't sure he wanted shoes on his feet!
Day 357, Sunday, December 23, 2018
I bought a pineapple at Kroger today. I dressed it up like he was visiting from Hawaii. The yellow lights are pineapple shaped, so I had to do it.
Day 356, Saturday, December 22, 2018
I just love this grapevine wreath that is outside our house on the corner. I need to find him some new mittens for next year. They are so faded.
Day 355, Friday, December 21, 2018
We met at Flattop Grill for dinner. We had ticket to go to the Northwoods Church Christmas program. We went last year, too. It is a fantastic way to celebrate the reason for the season!
Day 354, Thursday, December 20, 2018
Jim is finally having his eye surgery. It has been postponed for several reasons. He is having the cataracts removed, a stint placed for Glaucoma and toric lens put in. He won't have to wear glasses anymore or put drops in his eyes to lower the pressure. The surgery went great and he will have the left eye done next week.
Day 353, December 19, 2018
Today, one of our bus drivers came into the office
and gave me a shopping bag. She asked me
to take it to Bryce, one of our first grade students. He had gotten on her bus this morning and was
sad, because he didn’t have any pajamas to wear for “pajama day” at
school. The driver went to the Dollar
General Store and bought him some PJ’s.
I called him to the office and showed him what was inside the bag. His eyes lit up like none I have ever
seen. I asked him if he liked them and
if he wanted to put them on. His answer
was “YES!” He came back from the bathroom
with the bottoms on, but holding the shirt in his hand. He whispered to me, “Would you cut the tags
off for me? I don’t like them. They are too scratchy!” I told him I would, because I always cut the
tags out of my shirts, too. He thought
that was really funny! When the driver
came back in at noon, I told her he was so happy and he said he knew it was
from her. She went and bought him some
more things and brought the bag to the office.
The aide in the classroom told me he said he had slept in the clothes he
had on that day, because he didn’t have PJ’s.
He had worn the same outfit to school for the third day in a row. Bryce told her he had asked Santa for new
clothes when he saw him last week at school.
I took the bag with the new clothes down to his classroom at the end of
the day. I showed him everything that
was in the bag. He was so excited
because there was a new toothbrush in the bag, too. I showed him the socks and he pulled off his
shoe to show me he had a hole in his sock.
His big toe was sticking all the way through the end of the sock. After school, I sent the driver a text. I told her I gave him the bag and everything
he said. That he knew it was from
her. She told Bryce it must have been
Santa, it wasn’t her. I also called his
mom to tell her what happened and where everything had come from. She was very thankful.
Day 352, Tuesday, December 18, 2018
Cindy, Lisa and I went to Kuchie's on the Water, to make a gingerbread house. I was really apprehensive about the project. But they had the houses all built and we just had to decorate them. It was so fun!!
Day 351, Monday, December 17, 2018
There is a new movie out about the Grinch. Today was "Grinch or wear green day" at school. I made my shirt with iron on foil vinyl.
Day 350, Sunday, December 16, 2018
We worked really hard today, wrapping and bagging the gifts for Christmas. We just have a few left to do and that is a good job done.
Day 349, Saturday, December 15, 2018
Amy, Tim, Lisa, Dave, Kellee, John, Jim and I went to The Hickory Ridge Concert at Dickson Mounds, tonight. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas with our friends. We at dinner before the show in Lewistown.
Day 348, Friday, December 14, 2018
Last Saturday, Jim and I took Coco out to Big R to have our picture taken with Santa. Cheryl, our bookkeeper at school, was the photographer. She has been taking pictures of the animals at TAPS and I know she has helped many animals find their forever homes.
Day 347, Thursday, December 13, 2018
For as long as I can remember, Deb Bailey has made this "Christmas Crack" for our potlucks during December.
Day 346, Wednesday, December 12, 2018
We have been having special spirit days. Today was "wear a Christmas Hat" day. All three of us wore our reindeer ears! LOL
Day 345, Tuesday, December 11, 2018
Here we are again at The Paper Forest! We have our Copic marker class tonight. We did two images, tonight. One is a Christmas tree and the other is penguins.
Day 344, Monday, December 10, 2018
Jovie, our school elf on the shelf, copied herself and hung the papers in the hallway. Chelsea just came back to work from maternity leave and photo bombed the elf!
Day 342, Saturday, December 8, 2018
Cindy and I got to go to a workshop at The Paper Forest taught by Gina K, who is a stamp designer. She taught us all about the foiling technique. It was so much fun to meet Gina K and learn how to make these cards.
Day 341, Friday, December 7, 2018
It has been 74 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor. We got to go to the memorial when we were in Hawaii last summer.
Day 340, Thursday, December 6, 2018
This bobblehead snoopy showed up on my desk this morning. It is solar activated, so his head bobs up and down all day long.
Day 337, Monday, December 3, 2018
Our card swap group had a Christmas get together at Linda's house. A few of our friends were missing, but we still had a great time. Linda has so many beautiful Christmas trees!
Day 336, Sunday, December 2, 2018
Lynn invited us over for dinner. We had a great meal. Brad made this Peppermint Cheesecake, which was really good. It was a fun evening with the Curless family.
Day 335, Saturday, December 1, 2018
Jim and I went to Snowman's Reindeer Farm in Canton this morning. I wanted to go last year, but I ended up in the hospital a few days after Thanksgiving and didn't feel well, so we didn't get to go. I loved every minute of it! Here I am feeding Mistletoe who is the momma of Sugar Plum.
Day 334, Friday, November 30, 2018
Amy hosted a painting night at a shop in Farmington. We ordered dinner from the restaurant across the street. I painted this pillow cover, an ornament and a sign. It was a fun night with my girlfriends.
Day 332, Wednesday, November 28, 2018
Stacie bought me a ticket to see STOMP for my birthday. We went to eat at Granite City before the show with Brad, Lynn, Elizabeth and Evan. We really enjoyed the show.
